those who call him fodder are idiots, he may not be on kakashi and guy's level, but that punching technique of his is awesome and would probably butcher a shinobi if it wasn't hidan, and his use of chakra blades is great as well. all hidan needs is a scratch and it's over. and hidan captured the 2 tails as well who was close to a perfect jinchuuriki so you can't say he's useless, he's an s-rank shinobi for a reason.

Erm... he managed to best Hidan and cut his head off. Hidan then needed help from Kakuzu to get back into the fight. Afterwards he caught Hidan again in his Jutsu. Problem is, no one in the Narutoverse had any idea that some one like Hidan could exist.
