they were most likely going to marry but asuma died before they did so that's the reason why that didnt happen

was this in the manga because i dont remember seeing it in the manga. i know for sure that it was in the anime but since the anime is presented to children in japan funimation most likely made the change on the anime for moral reasonings
it's Narutopedia being inaccurate and unreliable as usual. Whoever placed that there seem to be under the impression that Asuma knocking Kurenai up in and of itself means they were married.
