please do not answer here if you are not a body builder or do not take any protein supps or do not have exp with these questions


i have a question... does any one take Gnc Re grow protein milk? if you do how many times do you take it? after or before work out...

i was told to take after work out..

i'm not a body builder but i do take protein shakes, supplements, etc... to stay in shape for next football season. i would recommend taking it 30 min after you work out

Pretty good protein powder, considering it being 30grams per scoop, which is hard to come by in other products, and has low fat and sugar. It really depends on you. There is not "right/wrong" time to take it. The most important time of course is after a workout. You have that hour-hour and half "window of opportunity" to promote muscle growth because you have been lifting, or resistance training, which breaks down muscle tissue, therefore the amino acids found in protein are very beneficial right after a workout. Ideally you can consume 30min before workout, personally i have consumed right before working out and ended up puking U_U. Ideally, 30min is enough of a wait before working out as well as after working out.

before i bought this new protein milk, i had amp wheybolic extreme 60 and i use to take 2 scoops in the morning, 2 scoops before gym and one scoomp mixed with casein...

now that i have this new one... i was thinking taking 2 scoops casein in the morning, 2scoops of re grow after gym and 1.5 before i sleep..

do you think combinations are alright? o_O

Sounds good, although a lot of people i know take casein before going to bed, since its "Slow digesting" during the night it feeds the muscle and you don't go into any "catabolic" state, meaning losing muscle because of food deprivation. And then a shake of whey protein in the morning wit some carbs is good. Gotta get those oats or rice man xd

the rest sounds good bro, looks like your getting around 150g *depending on protein in casein* per day, which is pretty good.

it ur life but nuthing is or will ever be better then a proper diet and hard work thats a fact

i started using casein last year after i read it bodybuilding.com and it help to reduce the soreness the next day

wtf O_O seriously thats messed up man...

true, nothing beats eating 7 meals a day but its hard for me to eat all 7 >.> and time consuming

That's called creatine bro, and yes it adds water weight by bloating you, which makes you look fat or soft xd

But whey protein is extracted from milk and is one of the cleanest sources of protein. Of course all this stuff is not needed, as they are called supplements, but you gotta make sure, like you mentioned, have a clean and steady diet, be committed to it, and be consistent in the gym.

i hate suppliment i got alota friends who do all that stuff and one of them had to have surgery cuz his body couldnt digest that shit.....another on jus got fat like i said and another one now need to take cortozone shots or however u spell that because he messed his shoulder up cuz pain is ur body telling u to stop and rest and let everything heal

jus my opinion but do it naturally and if u cant take it then dont do it oh and one more tip

cardio and streching is more imprtant then anything it will increase your energy and reduce the pain the next day amongst other things wich in the end will allow ur body to push itself further most ppl dont do it cuz its also the hardest thing

It does. There are different kinds of creatine's. There is monohydrate and kre alkalyn. Mono is cheap and usually the one that bloats you. Kre alkalyn is more expensive and is much less likely to bloat you.

When going through the "bulking-phase" with creatine, you get pretty good gains, and strength gains for sure.

yep i do a light stretch then start my workout slow then once im loose i go hard then after i do a hard stretch and ive never had a problem with pulled muscles or anything i did when i started but that b4 i knew what i was doing

Lol i do a 7 minute bike warm up before going to lift, get the blood flowing a little sweat xd. Need to incorporate some stretching thou for sure.

7 mintues really when im not in the gym my work out suffers but when i am in the gym i do 30 min run in the tredmill at a decent pace for the first 2o then hard as f for the last ten then i do the eliptical for half hour and then i hit the weights for about another hr or hr and a half then the big stretch and whenever possible i follow it up with a hot bath when i get home

when im not in the gym i do about half the cardio :( like now haha

cardio is always a must when i go the gym, i hit the tread mill for 30 mintues and always have one rest day inbetween gym days

i usually just run half a mile and some light warm ups to get my blood pumping before i go hard on them weights. lol

Ikr! I feel drained, i need to be just a little warmed up before i go hit the weights not completely dead.

I try to eat like a good meal 1hr-2hr before hitting the gym. I cycle on pre-workout drinks. Currently not taking any but when i am its C4 be Cellucor.

After my workout i go home and make a shake right away, two scoops, about 50g of protein.
