Not the same day, if I recall, but Sasuke was no older than a few months. Yet the consistency remains, Indra had to wait until Madara died to chose, and chose Sasuke. After Indra made his choice, Ashura waited and chose Naruto after his birth. Yet Ashura had to wait 34 odd years for Madara to die first.

The term 'lineage' is really ambiguous though, Hyuuga also share the same lineage with Hagoromo because they all come from Kaguya. Personally, I think that Uzumaki were separated from Senju rather than part of them. Kishi just wanted to maintain the Uchiha/Senju wank, he never bothered backing up the Uzumaki hype. :hmm:

Uzumaki and Senju are related. Senjus are descendants of Ashura. So there is blood connection between Ashura-Senju-Uzumaki, it is logical to think that Ashura can only transmigrant in his descendants.
