Yes, as anime is different for each series, I could, as someone who has watched more than one anime, say that there is some anime that I'm ashamed of liking and some that I'm not ahsamed of having watched.
Thus I can say: 'Yes, some anime I'm ashamed of having watched, but others I like' as I haven't only watched one, where I could only say yes or no, as it is with you, I presume.
Personally I am not ashamed, sure I could find it a waste of time to have watched even a single episode of some series(I usually quit after one), because they don't fit my taste, but I wouldn't ever say I'm disgusted with myself for watching anime.
True I don't speak to ghosts and openly announce that I'm an anime nerd, but I'd be damn sure to tell them I am if they asked, and I'd definitely scare girls whom are attracted to me(if that was ever to happen) away by saying I'm a super nerd beyond help, if they aren't scared of that, I suppose I'll consider a possible friendship.
All because I've grown up with and because anime teaches me far more than much of the stupid things MTV or any other channels shows(there are exceptions for certain shows and films of course).
The animes I watch tell of friendship, care for others and most of all, soul.
Now, if I were to be disgusted with myself for watching such series, then what am I supposed to feel watching Jersey Shore(nothing against the persons involved, just the pointlessness of the show)?
