Avoiding the moot dragon fire point since it deserves no authentic spot in the debate...
Asakujaku is not a barrage of non lethal punches. As a matter of fact, objects exceeding supersonic speeds and producing natural fire are completely and utterly lethal.
Those insignificant fire balls Gai produces shouldn't even have been mentioned. Majority of the damage derives from the striking power, combined with rapid succession, not the chemical offset in the background. If anything, the fire should be testament to how powerful Gai's punches are.
The real concern here should be how quickly Tsunade can regenerate compared to how fast Gai can punch her.
Problems, inherent to this argument, I've already displayed Gai's 7th gate punch which wasn't directly lethal. Calling his weaker 6th gate punches lethal seems to defy logic.
Can Tsunade's healing keep up, doesn't matter, as the technique can only last a few seconds.
