Artemis: Butler? Butler!? Where are you? Maybe I should call Holly.
Artemis took out his Fairy-tech cellphone and tried to reach Holly Short, a member of the underground police force, the LEPrecon.
Artemis: Odd. No reception. That shouldn't happen at the bottom of the ocean, which it didn't. I wonder what's wrong...
Artemis wandered around his mansion, looking for his massive bodyguard, Butler. When he reached the grand staircase at the entrance hall, he heard a new voice.
???: Hey, kid! Could you tell me where I am?
Artemis: Kid?
???: Sorry, what are you, fourteen?
Artemis: Fifteen. You are currently in my mansion, but not for long, if I could ever find Butler.
???: Your mansion!?!? Pretty spiffy for some kid- Teenager, sorry.
Artemis: And who are you, to be making such observations?
Shikamaru: My name is Nara Shikamaru, genius of the Nara clan.
Artemis raised an eyebrow from the top of the staircase at the spiky-haired kid at the bottom.
Artemis: Your use of the word 'clan' implies that 'Nara' is your last name, yet you said it first... Japanese, maybe?
Shikamaru: Excuse me?
Artemis: Well, mister 'Shikamaru', I will have to ask you to exit my mansion now, as I am uncomfertable with strangers, and I have enough 'friends' already.
Shikamaru: Look, I would like to leave, but I don't know how to get out.
Artemis: The door is right behind you.
Shikamaru looked over shoulder, and back at Artemis.
Shikamaru: No... I never thought to try that thing!!
Artemis: Shows how smart you are.
Shikamaru: It's called sarcasm, genius!
Artemis: I know what it was, and for the record, I am a genius!
Shikamaru: Well, then, mister genius, I suppose I can tell you that it's locked.
Artemis: Let me try.
Artemis walked down the staircase and tried the door. He looked all over the door, the doornobs, the frame, the hinges, and then stood back to think.
Shikamaru: Well?
Artemis: It's locked!
Shikamaru: Thank you Sherlock!
Artemis: Give me a second.
Artemis walked up to the door, and let out a little bit of fairy magic into the lock. The lock clicked open, but the doors stood stuck.
Artemis: What's wrong with this thing!?!?
Shikamaru: Still wont open?
Artemis turned from the door to Shikamaru.
Artemis: I really don't want you hear right now, so I wouldn't care if someone broke the door for you to leave!
Shikamaru: Then may I try?
Artemis stepped aside and Shikamaru got down on one knee. He made hand seals, and sent his shadow to the door, creeping his control up the shadded crack between the double doors,and sent the shadows outwards, creating a massive hole in the door, revealing nothingness.
Artemis: What was that!?!?
Shikamaru: I don't know...
Artemis: I was talking about what you did!!
Artemis (To himself): That was almost definatly fairy magic, but he's a pretty big fairy... Maybe he's like me! A human who took some fairy magic for himself. And he's Japanese... HE'S A SPY SENT TO CAPTURE ME!!! And that illusion outside was created either by him, or a fairy he works with. It could either be some fairy division or Japan who want's me, but I can't risk it either way.
Shikamaru: What I did...?
Shikamaru (To himself): Does this kid not know what chakra is? Or shadow jutsu? What if he doesn't? He may want to try more violent ways to get rid of me, and if he doesn't know about jutsu, that could make this easier.
Artemis: BUTLER!!!
Shikamaru: Who is this 'Butler' you speak of?
Artemis: He's my bodyguard, and he's supposed to be escorting you out of here.
Shikamaru: I'd like to see him try!
Artemis (To himself): So would I.
Artemis pointed a finger at Shikamaru, letting loose a bolt of fairly magic, which Shikamaru skillfully dodged.
Shikamaru: What was that!?!?
Artemis: We're a lot more alike than you would think.
Shikamaru: We'd have to be.
Shikamaru attempted to use Shadow Bind Jutsu, but the lighted room made the distance between this Artemis kid and himself too much. Artemis didn't know what was going on, but he wasn't about to stay long enough to find out. He ran up the staircase to his security room to stay away form the mysterious Nara character.
Naruto: It doesn't look like they're fighting.
Madara: I know... I'll have to fix that.
Artemis sat in front of his computer, watching Shikamaru's movements through his security camera's.
Artemis: What're you doing now, kid?
On one of his computer screens, Artemis noticed a small window.
Artemis: What's this?
Naturally curious, Artemis read the window.
Artemis. Butler has been kidnapped. Your fairy technologies have been tampered with. Your intruder is responsible. Take him out.
Artemis looked at the screen to see Shikamaruat the end of the hall opposite his study.
Artemis: Who notified me about this intruder? Maybe it's a hacker. Or maybe... That guy was sent by one fairy group and another group is trying to stop him. That makes sense... But maybe not enough. In any case, it explains Butler's disappearance and my phone malfunction. I'd better take him out myself, just in case. This will probably take more mind than strength or magic.
Artemis carefully crept out of his study and closed the door silently behind him. He began to sneak down the staircase to grab a weapon from a suit of armor lining the hall, when Shikamaru spun around.
Shikamaru: There you are!!
Artemis: DIE!!
Artemis shot another bolt of magic at Shikamaru and, with the help of some more magic, lifted a mace from a suit of armor. The magic hit Shikamaru square in the chest, pushing him into the wall, making a large hole. When Shikamaru came out of the hole, rubbing his head from the impact, Artemis was up the staircase and about to swing the mace into Shikamaru's head.
Shikamaru threw a kunai with an explosion tag at Artemis, causing a close-range explosion that sent them both flying, inflicting great damage.
Artemis (To himself): If it weren't for my fairy magic, I'd be dead by now!
Shikamaru (To himself): This flak jacket sure can take a hit!
Artemis hid behind a suit of armor while he waited for Shikamaru to make a move. Shikamaru threw another exploding kunai, this time into the centeral lighting fixture, taking out much of the lighting in the entrance hall. Artemis peered out from behind his suit of armor to see where the intruder was.
Shikamaru: Looking for me?
Artemis spun around, his mace taking off Shikamaru's head, but it replaced itself after a shadow crept up his body.
Shikamaru: Nara Style: Shadow Clone.
Shikamaru punched Artemis in the face, pushing him into the suit of armor, and nearly making him drop the mace on his head, had Shikamaru not held it in place with Shadow Bind Jutsu.
Shikamaru: I don't want to kill you,
Shikamaru's clone sank into the ground as a shadow and bound Artemis to the floor, Shikamaru's other shadow letting the mace down next to him.
Shikamaru: but I will if I must.
Artemis (To himself): This guy, whoever he is, uses his magic to control shadows, which in turn can control me! And I've never seen a fairy make a clone of themselves; I'll have to ask Holly about that sometime.
Artemis started to send some of his magic through the chakra-enhanced shadows to try and reverse the effect onto Shikamaru.
Shikamaru (To himself): Something's happening to my chakra flow. What's he doing? I thought he didn't even know what chakra was.
Shikamaru leapt into the air, but too late. Artemis's magic had reached his feet, reversing the jutsu, and causing Shikamaru to 'trip' and fall back to the ground. Artemis stood up, and loomed over Shikamaru.
Artemis: You thought I would be a pushover, didn't you? I may be pale, physically inactive, and spoiled, but I have the highest tested I.Q. in Europe, and more importantly, fairly magic.
Shikamaru: Europe? Magic?
Artemis began to close his hand into a fist, tightening the hold Shikamaru's Shadow Bind had on him.
Shikamaru (To himself): If I don't get out of here soon, he's going to kill me with my own jutsu!!
Shikamaru pulled out an explosion tag with the limited movement he had and set it to explode. At an exact moment, Shikamaru threw it into the air, and just as he timed it, as it reached the peak of it's accent, and just as it was about to fall again, the tag exploded.
The light given off was enough to cancel the shadow jutsu, and the explosion singed Shikamaru's flack jacket to a point where when he stood up, it crumbled off of him. Artemis was not so lucky.
The explosion sent Artemis flying, and he flew right out the door, into the nothingness.
Artemis (To himself): So this is it, is it? This is the end of the great, Artemis Fowl. Done in by some fairy/human hybrid. Is this what emotions has reduced me to?
From within the nothingness, a black hand came out and grabbed Artemis around the stomach. The arm retracted until Artemis was floating above the floor of his mansion, face-to-face with the intruder Shikamaru.
Shikamaru: If I'm going to kill you, I'm going to kill. I'm not just going to let you fall forever into nothing.
Naruto: THAT SHOULD COUNT!!! Artemis should be dead, and Shikamaru saved him!
Madara: But what you're forgetting is... Shikamaru saved him. The fight continues!
Naruto (To himself): Jerk!
Madara: WHAT DID YOU SAY!?!?!?
Naruto flinched back in fear.
Naruto: N-n-nothing! I didn't say anything; let's just watch the fight!
Artemis stared at Shikamaru, wondering why he would do such a thing after he tried to kill him.
Artemis: You...
Artemis smirked.
Artemis: just did the wrong thing!
Artemis broke the shadow arm, letting himself down onto the floor. Then he manipulated five suits of armor to assult Shikamaru. After only a minute of Shikamaru fending off the hollow metal suits, Artemis felt tired.
Artemis (To himself): I've used too much magic today. This is wearing me out.
The suits all collased in upon themselves, leaving Shikamaru looking directly at Artemis.
Artemis (To himself): I have almost no magic left. I have enough to do one more thing, and then I'm all out...
Artemis looked Shikamaru in the eye, and began to speak with a magic-layered voice.
Artemis (Mesmer): You will stop fighting me at once.
Shikamaru (To himself): I can tell he's trying to take over my mind, but I can't stop it! It's got to be a genjutsu. Either that, or we're more different than he thinks. I can't hold on much longer; he's about to get me. Here goes nothing!
Artemis (Mesmer): You will jump out the door.
Shikamaru (To himself): Can't he make me do something more self-harming?
Shikamaru: Y... Y-yes.
Shikamaru took off at a run towards the door, but before he leapt, he broke his left pinky finger. Shikamaru tripped and ended up hanging on the doorfram by one hand. His left one!
Artemis (To himself): Magic's out. It's all up to you, brain.
Artemis walked up to Shikamaru's hand, and placed his foot over it.
Artemis: This little piggy tried to kidnapp me....
Artemis pressed down on Shikamaru's index finger, causing him to let go.
Shikamaru: What!?!?
Artemis: This little piggy is a freak...
Artemis stepped on Shikamaru's middle finger, making him let go.
Artemis: This little piggy tried to kill me...
Artemis stepped on Shikamaru's ring finger, making him let go.
Artemis: And this little piggy is broken!
Artemis took his foot off of Shikamaru's hand, but Shikamaru floated there, dispite his having nothing holding onto the floor.
Artemis: What the-!?
Artemis stepped away, and a shadow retracted, pulling Shikamaru back into the mansion.
Shikamaru: You picked the wrong guy to mess with, mister genius!!
Shikamaru punched Artemis in the face with his right hand, and then pulled him back with a shadow for another punch. As he punched him the second time, he enhanced the punch with a shadow, throwing him into a wall, breaking his phone. Upon breaking, Artemis's phone let a bolt of electricity through his body.
Shikamaru: And that,
Shikamaru walked up to an unconsious Artemis, brushing his hands together.
Shikamaru: is that. So now what?
Shikamaru turned around to look for a way out (a safe one), and a figure stood behind him. The figure punched Shikamaru in the back, forcing him to the ground. Shikamaru spun around, getting to his feet, to see Artemis on his feet, ready to fight hand-to-hand.
Shikamaru: What the heck? Weren't you just unconsious!?
Orion: Artemis may have, but I am Orion! I am more physically capable than my counterpart, and I am here to take you on.
Shikamaru (To himself): Split personality? Seriously? It seems to be triggered by being knocked unconcious. If I can get this 'Orion' guy unconcious, then maybe I could deal with the weaker counterpart-
While Shikamaru was thinking, Orion got him right in the solar plexus.
Shikamaru: Did you just hit me while I was thinking!?!?
Orion: Never give your opponent an edge; that's what Butler taught Artemis. Of course, he wasn't listening, but I was.
Shikamaru: So you hit me while I was thinking?
Orion: Ye-
Shikamaru punched Orion in the face, bindied his movement in place, and started beating on him like a punching bag, with more strength than he had ever shown before. He pulled out Asuma's knives (which he forgot he had) and started to slash Orion up. Finally, he jumped back, and began to move his hands as if he were controling something.
Shikamaru: SHADOW PULL JUTSU!!!
Multiple shadow spikes rose from the ground, piercing Orion and binding him further. Then the explosive tags on the ends of the spikes eruppted, obliterating Artemis/Orion's body.
Shikamaru: NEVER hit me while I'm thinking!!!! EVER!!!!
Madara: Hmmm...
Naruto: YEAH!!!! Go Shikamaru!!!
The Artemis/Orion figure exploded, and the Shikamaru figure joined Kakashi.
Naruto: Kakashi AND Shikamaru are safe for good! Now it's my turn to pick, right!?
Madara: Right...
Naruto: And if I choose a character who has their soul sealed, they'll be unsealed?
Madara smirked under his mask, having anticipated this next fight.
Madara: No matter the seal.
Naruto: Then I choose my father, the Fourth Hokage, MINATO NAMIKAZE!!!!
A Minato figure with his Hokage cape billowing behind him appeared on the board.
Madara: I anticipated this fight, and so I have chosen the only character that has ever existed in any story that can match your father's power, and rumored 'awesomeness'. My character of choice is, Chuck Norris!!!
A beared man with a cowboy hat in the process of doing a roundhouse kick appeared on the board.
Naruto: What's a Chuck Norris?
Madara: Chuck Norris will be the one to kill your father...

Shikamaru: What the heck? Weren't you just unconsious!?
Orion: Artemis may have, but I am Orion! I am more physically capable than my counterpart, and I am here to take you on.
Shikamaru (To himself): Split personality? Seriously? It seems to be triggered by being knocked unconcious. If I can get this 'Orion' guy unconcious, then maybe I could deal with the weaker counterpart-
While Shikamaru was thinking, Orion got him right in the solar plexus.
Shikamaru: Did you just hit me while I was thinking!?!?
Orion: Never give your opponent an edge; that's what Butler taught Artemis. Of course, he wasn't listening, but I was.
Shikamaru: So you hit me while I was thinking?
Orion: Ye-
Shikamaru punched Orion in the face, bindied his movement in place, and started beating on him like a punching bag, with more strength than he had ever shown before. He pulled out Asuma's knives (which he forgot he had) and started to slash Orion up. Finally, he jumped back, and began to move his hands as if he were controling something.
Shikamaru: SHADOW PULL JUTSU!!!
Multiple shadow spikes rose from the ground, piercing Orion and binding him further. Then the explosive tags on the ends of the spikes eruppted, obliterating Artemis/Orion's body.
Shikamaru: NEVER hit me while I'm thinking!!!! EVER!!!!
Madara: Hmmm...
Naruto: YEAH!!!! Go Shikamaru!!!
The Artemis/Orion figure exploded, and the Shikamaru figure joined Kakashi.
Naruto: Kakashi AND Shikamaru are safe for good! Now it's my turn to pick, right!?
Madara: Right...
Naruto: And if I choose a character who has their soul sealed, they'll be unsealed?
Madara smirked under his mask, having anticipated this next fight.
Madara: No matter the seal.
Naruto: Then I choose my father, the Fourth Hokage, MINATO NAMIKAZE!!!!
A Minato figure with his Hokage cape billowing behind him appeared on the board.
Madara: I anticipated this fight, and so I have chosen the only character that has ever existed in any story that can match your father's power, and rumored 'awesomeness'. My character of choice is, Chuck Norris!!!
A beared man with a cowboy hat in the process of doing a roundhouse kick appeared on the board.
Naruto: What's a Chuck Norris?
Madara: Chuck Norris will be the one to kill your father...
