I'm agnostic. When I was 14 I started questioning religion. By 17 I decided I was agnostic. I came from a Christian(Catholic) background. I tried coming out to my family about this but they flipped out and assumed I was a satanist or atheist even though I explained to them what agnostic was. Now I just let them believe whatever until I move away. They think I believe in the universe as god or scared to say I believe in god. I even met some atheist who assumed I was a "Scared atheist" because I corrected them in conversations when they would consider me atheist.

Well what he meant is that he was muslim as long as he can remember, i think you understood that but trying to prolong this convo for some reason

Could you guys define my position for me? Never thought to give it a label.

A person who never has given it much consideration but being fairly sure God doesn't exist? As in, the idea doesn't mean much to me and organised religion is a no no....but i'm open to him being real.

Oh going into semantics eh. Well Muslims believe that every child born, is born Muslim and we also give azaan in the baby's ear when it's born. It is believed that parents or society makes kids non Muslim, otherwise everyone is born naturally a Muslim. And if you wanna know what i understand and think of Islam, then that's a separate thing which i'd not like to discuss.

im not trying to prolong the conversating i'm questining his claim than one can be muslim sins birth, since at birth one cannot form taughts yet, so how can one believe in a god? when it's physically impossible to do so.

(i also know that some muslims will still claim i was born a muslim, or maybe still am one, even though i know that i don't have a belief in Allah or any other god, i know i am an Atheist)

I didn't chose to believe or not believe, I was raised by my parents without religion, i didn't even know people believes gods existed before i was 10 (maybe 11) years old.

And when i finally was though about what Gods is, I started reading up on the most common belief's in the world today and even though i tried to believe they existed, i just didn't, in the same way i don't believe faries, unicorns or vampies exist i don't believe in Thor, Ra, Zeus or Allah (or any other god for that matter)

The fact that some muslims claim i was born a muslim is irrelevant to me and i view the claim as false, just as i would if someone claimed 2+ 2 = 7 or claimed that unicorns actually exist.
