I just learned speed reading so I plan to purchase books and go through one each day.

What kind of books do you read most often? I personally only do self help books but I also like books that inform me about things in the real world, I can read fiction from time to time if I feel like it but I'm quite ambitious so fictional books don't interest me and I don't know if I can learn anything from them.

No. I read only if the book is interesting.

Yes I am one, I read almost any book which catches my attention, science-fiction/detective thrillers/horror mostly but often non-fiction including travel books and biographies too.

I've read probably 50 books that I can remember (excluding textbooks) in my lifetime. I hardly read.

When you're reading with a purpose you don't have time to waste. I want one or two things that I can get from a book, usually that's the core value books have but they can't sell you if the book is only 10 pages because you'll feel ripped off so they fill the rest with a bunch of words and nonsense that their editor tells them to. The biggest myth is that you need to read a book from start to finish, it's bullshit. This ain't grade school, someone who has sat and read a book in a month word for word vs someone who speed read 30 books and got valuable knowledge from each of them, it's obvious who is better off. There are 120 million books published in the world, you don't time to read them all, this also makes reading more fun.
