When you're reading with a purpose you don't have time to waste. I want one or two things that I can get from a book, usually that's the core value books have but they can't sell you if the book is only 10 pages because you'll feel ripped off so they fill the rest with a bunch of words and nonsense that their editor tells them to. The biggest myth is that you need to read a book from start to finish, it's bullshit. This ain't grade school, someone who has sat and read a book in a month word for word vs someone who speed read 30 books and got valuable knowledge from each of them, it's obvious who is better off. There are 120 million books published in the world, you don't time to read them all, this also makes reading more fun.Speed reading.....almost like speed fu--ing what's the point?....
