I hoped that the anime would use fillers to develop a canon-story when they are needed for ONCE. But no, Studio Pierrot dissapointed once again. So, no, we won't get insight to their era, their relationship and their battle. Which is kinda sad tbh.

Instead we got completely nonsensical Mugen-Tsukuyomi fillers and fillers about Itachi, a character that had almost half of shippuuden as screentime in a series that is called "Naruto".
