are we underestimating naruto?

I noticed allot of members posted their list of strongest characters in Naruto, in most list I noticed Naruto's ranking to be around five or six. Some peoples reason for this is Naruto doesn't know any fuuinjutsu, but in the fight with pain he used fuuinjutsu to bring back clones with sage mode. what if he more efficient in this then we know and Kishi just hasn't revealed it yet, he is an Uzumaki after all.

Most people forget that he's a perfect Sage (and can thus beat Nagato via natural energy or Frog Katas and clones.)

But other than that, he's golden.

well he did create his own unique seal when he defeated the Kyuubi. The Kyuubi even commented that this is the sage's seal. I think Naruto may have some latent sealing abilities - he just hasn't applied them in battle.

Don't be mad that thats all it takes for him to beat 98% of the Narutoverse. Also with what he has shown he should be top 5 bare minimum. Who else can say they tanked a juubi-laser and equalled 5 TBB's combined?

I'm assuming that this is without Edo-status? Sasuke doesn't have any feats that would put him in Naruto's league. Site the quote form Kishi's interview 3 years ago all you want but they are not equal anymore.

With manga knowledge, Nagato clearly knows of Naruto's natural energy trick. He would switch to SM just to get wasted by Nagato.

Nagato would wreck Naruto, its clear.
