Do since "Shikamaru" said Hiruzen was the only one capable of do anything against the Zetsu's summon that logically concludes that Sakura is weaker then Tsunade? Your until argument was they Sakura was inferior to Tsunade becuase she couldn't do anything against a particular summon now your saying the Kages were weakened so they unturn couldn't do anything ether.
Umm, did you actually read my post? It clearly states "my perspective", NOT CANON.
Anyway, I'm changing said perspective now:
First, the wikia entries.
Chūnin (中忍; Literally meaning "Middle Ninja", Meaning (Viz) "Journeyman Ninja") are ninja who are qualified to guide other ninja and lead missions. Chūnin have reached a level of maturity and ability that primarily consists of leadership skills and tactical prowess. Genin who do not have the skills to become chūnin are weeded out in the chūnin exams. Some of them, like Iruka Umino, Daikoku Funeno and Suzume move on to function as Academy teachers and others, like Shikamaru Nara, serve as team leaders in charge of small teams who need to make decisions and utilise the skills of the shinobi under their command to the maximum effect. Chūnin are typically sent on C-rank or B-rank missions.
Tokubetsu Jōnin (特別上忍, Tokubetsu Jōnin; English TV "Special Jōnin"; Literally meaning "Special High Ninja"; sometimes known as Tokujō for short) are ninja who, rather than all-around jōnin training, have jōnin-level ability in a specific area or skill, much like warrant officers in real-world militaries. They are elite specialists in their areas and are often assigned as subordinates to regular jōnin when their services are needed.
Jōnin (上忍, Jōnin; Literally meaning "High Ninja", Meaning (Viz) "Elite Ninja") are generally highly-experienced shinobi with great individual skill who serve as military captains. They are often sent on A-rank missions, and experienced jōnin may even be sent on S-rank missions (which are considered to be the greatest difficulty). It is not unusual for jōnin to go on missions alone. Jōnin are generally able to use at least two types of elemental chakra,[1] proficient genjutsu, and decent taijutsu skills.
A Kage (影; Literally meaning "Shadow") is the leader of one of the five most powerful hidden villages and are generally acknowledged as the most powerful ninja in their respective villages. They are collectively known as the Five Kage (五影, Gokage; Literally meaning "Five Shadows").
Here, it must be noted that the actual "Kage" level is highly variable, and are different in all villages. At the moment, the leaf's Hokage is Naruto, so in order to be 'kage level', our picks would NEED to match or surpass him, which isn't the case for any of the 5. By stating that someone is Kage level, you're automatically saying they are as good as or better than Naruto, don't you think? At the moment only Sasuke can be regarded as 'Kage level' in the leaf.
Hinata's rank based on her abilities should be Jounin after the events of the Last. However, before that, her abilities match that of a Special Jounin, with her specialties being Sensing and Taijutsu. (Canon rank: Chunin at the time of the Last)
Lee's the same (Special Jounin), except his skills are only in Taijutsu. He has NO TALENT of ninjutsu, which is required for the Jounin rank. Even Gai had 'chunin-level' skills in Ninjutsu/genjutsu. Unless he develops these skills, he's bound to remain the same years later. (Canon Rank: Chunin at the time of the Last)
Shikamaru deserves the Jounin rank, as his overall skills reach Jounin level in all area (Taijutsu is questionable, though). (Canon Rank: Jounin at the time of the Last)
Neji is already a Jounin, no questioning that. His rank is fully deserved, and then some. (Canon Rank: Jounin by the start of part 2)
Sakura becoming a Jounin is the same. Fully deserved rank. If Shizune was a Jounin, Sakura should be too. (Canon Rank: Jounin at the time of the Last)
My previous post was about their possible ranks as of chapter 700, this time it's around the time of the Last, which is as far as the latest data books go.
Ashura path is not the weakest where you get this nonsense from? It's obvious that the Naraka Path is the weakest, that guy lost to Konohamaru for Rikudou's sake. Plus, Ashura path is the one that defeated Jiraiya, ripped his arm off and crushed his throat.

</blockquote>No, I did not but it still doesn't change my reaction to this thread. Thanks for the info though. It's been said already that Shikamaru has the brains but isn't great at fighting, plus he lacks the charisma for leading and boosting moorale which is why he is a strategist. It's kind of hard to take this seriously when you imagine any of these going against the likes of Trollkage 1v1, especially without intel, y'know :/</div>
At that point in time we did not know her power limits, kishi could have made her have a good fight until naruto showed up or have her carry. You guys are looking at it from what we know now than then. He could have made her anything he wanted but he just buffed her creation rebirth and gave her one shippuden fight. was good but still not enough for pein.
wow, so many of you are underrating the Kage' level so much.
Ehm, ehm, case in point, Lee still couldn't open all 8 gates as of the War Arc.
Or are we comparing them to the versions shown in episode 700? because by that time (10-12 years), even Hinata would have been Kage-level as you guys are meaning it.
