are some songs ruined by there music video?

Ya some songs have great music videos, but i think there are others(to many) that have had the worst possible music videos made for them, which ruins what would have been a really good song.

post what you think on this, and what if any songs you beleive have been ruined by their video.

I totally agree. I can name a few songs but most of them are Japanese and Chinese. I believe this is probably due to tight budgets and/or lousy shit directors.

sometimes it can be different, u can not like the song and teh video will be great! an example:

Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off~Panic At The Disco
i hated this song but teh video is awesome

LOL the weird statue, plant thingies, and the flying fish thingies are hilarious. but yes another fine example of a song that is ruined by it's video.

I'd have to say yes.

Muse's song Knights of Cydonia is a terrific song, but its video is very Napoleon Dynamite-esque in its frivolity.


But I'd have to say it could go in the opposite way as well.

Such as in Kula Shaker's "Drink Tea (for the love of god)"

Lie Lie Lie by DJ Ozma, came out for the naruto shippuden movie 1 ending. i went to look at the Music vid, and... it completley ruined the song @.@

there are a few songs that i like.. but i start to hate coz of the clip they did with them.

JT's what goes around comes around, never liked the video, but i love the song.

Janet Jackson's got a few too.. ehh, i forgot coz i hate them now.

But there are many songs i didnt like until i saw the clip.
