Yes it served a purpose. It helped kishi pad his manga along some more instead of giving some actual progression.
Whoopty doo, we got to see a gay harem, that naruto self admitted he never expected to work. Why the **** would you go along with it then? What's worse is that he ended this already stupid stun attack, with a punch to her face. Lawl...
To make it even worse, when naruto and sasuke tried to seal madara, they teleported madara onto the attack so he had no time to react, but sasuke decided to teleport kaguya while she's still a foot away from each of them and has a time to react.
What a waste of time. Kishi should at least pad the manga better. On the bright side, it was a lot better padding than what he did with Obito. Good thing we don't have to suffer through obito any mo-- oh wait...
@bold: That's the sad thing. Naruto even says that the strongeer the opponent the more effective that jutsu is. then why didn't he just use it on madara? Apparently he could have ended the war long ago with this ultimate jutsu :|
