In One Piece some of us may have seen, the move Chidori but now in the new manga of Naruto we see that 'Water Gun' technique which is similar to Hody Jone's water shot attack.

Really did Kishi not like the use of the word Chidori or am I being a slight freak O_O

There are always things that will look similar, especially when it comes to naming things, however you don't need to think about it too much.

Water Pokémon can also use the Water Gun and I once read a manga Tenjo Tengo where there also was a guy who could do exactly the same.

You also should also take their point of view into consideration. Take it like this if you would start comparing the names of attacks of American comics and cartoons, how many dragon, tiger, lion, fire, lightning etc. references would you find? A lot, still you aren't going to say "hey, that comes from that show". It's no different in Japanese, it's just their language. Agreed I doubt something like Chidori is common, however water shot or gun is really something basic.

is there any lightning involved in Hyozo's Technique? Chidori is part of a japanese folk-tale everyone is free to use it. The usage of water as a fire-arm ammo, is commonly seen in most shows, it ain't plaggio. It would be if we saw that the techniques are named and are performed in the very same manner. After that is just creative use of the term.

During his introduction, Suigetsu threatened Sasuke with a finger to the head seemingly the same water gun attack.

That was long before anyone heard of Hody Jones.
