Shika is smart but I noticed he succumbs in heated situations that becomes unfavorable or unknown. He's a strategist who prepares for a battle and the last guy you would not want personal intel to be leaked to. but outside of that he's inferior to sasuke. someone who can quickly come up with new plans in moments when he had no time to come up with new ideas, takes advantage of his own disadvantage. I've yet to see shika do that unless he's given a brief moment to calculate (moments that rarely happen in fights, especially 1v1).

Exactly. If you need several moments to come up with a plan and that plan still has high failure rates; and your opponents are quite unintelligent, then you are not in Sasuke's league. Not even close.

i think they're being set up in the sense that they were both given goals to strive towards with no point behind them being reached. I only wish they were given a goal that better suited the world they were brought up in because that "i will become w/e i keep reminding ppl will be" stuff only had a purpose when Naruto was their age.
