So, going by your logic (forget Sasuke for a moment as he always puts a trigger-rod up your posterior) Tobirama is dumber than Shikamaru as the manga didn't mention his IQ? Give me a moment to laugh out loud at this nonsense.

Invents Edo Tensai, FTG, Kage Bunshin and sets up an entire political infrastructure that was followed by every village including the entire village precepts and educational structures, additional research on Sage mode and Sharingan etc. IQ is lower than Shikamaru!

Has the manga said anything about Tobirama's IQ? Yup, Shikamaru is so smart that Sakura and Ino's father figured out the Pein's details quicker than him, when none of them are geniuses.

Shika is smart but I noticed he succumbs in heated situations that becomes unfavorable or unknown. He's a strategist who prepares for a battle and the last guy you would not want personal intel to be leaked to. but outside of that he's inferior to sasuke. someone who can quickly come up with new plans in moments when he had no time to come up with new ideas, takes advantage of his own disadvantage. I've yet to see shika do that unless he's given a brief moment to calculate (moments that rarely happen in fights, especially 1v1).
Exactly. If you need several moments to come up with a plan and that plan still has high failure rates; and your opponents are quite unintelligent, then you are not in Sasuke's league. Not even close.

True. Unlike hidan or tayuya, Deidara is pretty smart, had intel and advantage yet sasuke still outplayed him.
Deidara figured out how Gaara's sand gourd and Ultimate Defense and Sand movements work in a second or two in his fight with Gaara. And still Sasuke was ten steps ahead of him in the manga. Anyone who thinks Deidara is stupid is just a troll. When the opponents Shikamaru faced alone where never smart. They were actually pretty stupid ninjas.

temari and tayuya were not stupid...and shikamaru can't help it if his opponents don't come close to 200 IQs
Temari is the only opponent who wasn't stupid, but she was no Danzo, Orochimaru, Deidara, Madara, Haku, Chee etc. Can't help what; can't help that he barely got out against really stupid opponents? That 200 IQ!

i think they're being set up in the sense that they were both given goals to strive towards with no point behind them being reached. I only wish they were given a goal that better suited the world they were brought up in because that "i will become w/e i keep reminding ppl will be" stuff only had a purpose when Naruto was their age.
