Being creatures of the ocean, sharks naturally listen to Aquaman since he is the king of the sea (ability not found in bio). Also like all sea related summons, they are obligated to follow his command and never do him harm (check bio and you won't find this anywhere). And as a gyojin, Aquaman has complete control over all sea creature anatomy (not an ability of Gyojins)
Sharks are big and strong and stuff. Their teeth regrow after losing them and they have a powerful bite. Sharks also have great sensory abilities like smell and some electrical field thing. They swim fast and some live for a long time
I hate you. And no, just because you have Aquaman doesnt mean they auto listen to you, regardless of what's in your bio. By that logic, any aquatic animal is harmless to you. e___e
Second paragraph is very, very shitty.
Sharks skeletal figure is made not of bone but cartilage. Cartilage is flexible and durable, yet is about half the normal density of bone. This reduces the skeleton's weight, saving energy. Because sharks do not have rib cages, they can easily be crushed under their own weight on land, keep this in mind. Jaws of sharks, like those of rays and skates, are not attached to the cranium. The jaw's surface (in comparison to the shark's vertebrae and gill arches) needs extra support due to its heavy exposure to physical stress and its need for strength. In the rostrum (snout), the cartilage can be spongy and flexible to absorb the power of impacts.
Shark teeth are embedded in the gums rather than directly affixed to the jaw, and are constantly replaced throughout life. Multiple rows of replacement teeth grow in a groove on the inside of the jaw and steadily move forward in comparison to a conveyor belt; some sharks lose 30,000 or more teeth in their lifetime.
Now in relation to their sensory abilities. Sharks have keen olfactory senses, located in the short duct (which is not fused, unlike bony fish) between the anterior and posterior nasal openings, with some species able to detect as little as one part per million of blood in seawater.
Sharks have the ability to determine the direction of a given scent based on the timing of scent detection in each nostril. This is similar to the method mammals use to determine direction of sound. They may have a sharp sense of hearing and
can possibly hear prey from many miles away The "electrical field thing" is called the ampullae of Lorenzini, the electroreceptor organs. They number in the hundreds to thousands. Sharks use the ampullae of Lorenzini to detect the electromagnetic fields that all living things produce. This helps sharks (particularly the hammerhead shark) find prey.
The shark has the greatest electrical sensitivity of any animal. Sharks find prey hidden in sand by detecting the electric fields they produce. Ocean currents moving in the magnetic field of the Earth also generate electric fields that sharks can use for orientation and possibly navigation.
All of these together give sharks a near perfect senses (not literally), which is why I love them. Then, when you get into the different subspecies of sharks, it gets even more amazing.
