Hidan's head is buried several meters underground covered in tons of rock and dirt. The Infinite Tsukiyomi can only affect you if you look at the moon, Hidan couldn't have seen the moon from underground.

you cant hide from it i believe the moon shines through everything

Wrong, Mugen Tsukuyomi just like Izanami affects the senses. There were many people who didn't look at the moon yet fell under the Genjutsu.

Hidan might have fallen under Mugen Tsukuyomi because even if he is buried underground, all his senses are active and when the God Tree wrapped around him, it gave him enough life force to survive for another extended period of time (If you use the nutrients theory that is, plus the God Tree powers it's victims with Life Force before turning them into White Zetsus).

It's also possible his body was regenerated by the God Tree's life force, so he could still be out there plotting something.

Kishimoto blunt strikes again, didn't he say he died of starvation/malnutrition in some interview:lmao:

Edit

Seems it was from a fanbook lel

He didn't say that lol that was just something that fans or Hidan haters came up with, no such thing was stated

EDIT: Just did my research, it was from a fanbook lol :lmao:

Actually, Kishi mentioned that Hidan was "slowly dying" from malnutrition, but not dead, in one of his older interviews.

During the war, Edo Kakuzu takes Hidan's absence as proof of him being alive. I guess you could say Kishi was speaking through him.

I thought Inorder to remain immortal Hidan has to kill people weekly? Isn't Kishi contracting his own Manga here?

Really? I must have missed that part. I thought it was just a tribute to Jashin and nothing more....Man kishi dropped the ball again XD

No The ritual isn't required for him to remain immortal, it's only done out of dedication for his faith.

Really bro? Stop being stupid.

It's not stupidity, its the truth. that mother and child who were asleep in their house in one of the panels got affected by IT. As did the Daiymo and they were nestled away in the confines of a shut off hut. So it wouldn't be too far fetched to assume it got to Hidan's head as well.

what a dam clown

He has a point. The war arc was already rushed. There was no use mucking it up even more.

By the time of the war, not Gaiden.

Misleading title should be changed. He's probably dead by the time the next gen kids are alive, considering his immortality relies on sacrifices that he clearly hasn't been able to get.

He has a point, since plenty of people were affected who weren't in direct contact with the reflections of the Moon when he casted Infinite Tsukuyomi, yet were able to become trapped by it.
