Apparently Hidan is still alive.

From a recent interview with Kobayashi, Kishimoto actually stated that Hidan(the head) is still alive after all these years in the world of Naruto, still trapped unfortunately in the hole at Deer Garden.

"Yes, I was actually planning on bringing him into the Fourth Shinobi War but had to restrain myself from doing so, otherwise I would had got carried away with implementing too many characters into the conflict. Plus it would had been too troublesome to add in a section for his own story in the war without extending the manga than it should had."

So there you have it, even after all these years(chronologically in the series of Naruto), Hidan is still out there, being alive and the remaining Akatsuki that is still breathing.
