☆ Storm release is an advanced form of elemental chakra manipulation that consist of the lightning and water element. The user of this ability is able to synchronize[fuse] their lightning chakra with their water chakra to form a new element consider as storm. This storm element is usually in the form of an energy beam that can be discharge toward their desired target.
☆ I wish to learn ranton at the moment for two reasons; 1. To better my close combat and maneuver skill in battle 2. To even out or manage against a wood release user if am to ever come up against one during my travels in NW.
☆ Storm release has the properties of both a lightning element and a water release that is it is negatively charged, sub-fluid state and can travel at a fast speed, in some storm techniques, the lightning and water constitute would vary as some technique require less of either the lightning or water element.
☆ There are two type of storm release associated with NW; they are Gale Style and Storm Style. Gale style is the manipulation of black lightning while Storm Style is the manipulation of normal lightning, in Gale style the black lightning can be produced from the user's chakra while Storm Style require the altering of the terrain weather such as creating of thundercloud or energy beam to match the technique performed.

☼ I begin by first forming chakra in both palm then I focus on my right hand, I manipulate the chakra turning it into lightning chakra I do this by making the chakra vibrate fast enough to produce a charge.
Then I turn to my left hand and manipulate the chakra there into water chakra by making the chakra as fluid and flexible as possible, I try to recall my suiton training and repeat the process here.
Now having successfully turn the chakra in my right into lightning and chakra in my left into water, I slowly close my palm together with the aim of joining the lightning to the water chakra. I know for a fact that an electrifying reaction is to happen if both chakra mass didn't cancel out properly so I take my time in combining both, I transfer a portion of the suiton chakra in my left palm to my right palm, I do the same with my raiton chakra. I continue to mix until a new element is formed, I then open up my palm creating a gap between them, I release this new element into the gap and proceed to conjure more of this new element until it is vividly seen by you.
How's this? I asked while still maintaining my focus on the new element.

Though it is made up of water and lightning, lightning seem to be the dominant element, thus It makes me feel unsettled[alert] and heavy, it is like the storm has more power than it is showing and would require a lot of my energy to perform that is a firm and strong user.
Okay next since there is two different types of storm release. I'll get you accustom to them both.
First I want you to gather up lighting chakra in your left hand, and in your right hand gather up water chakra, in your right hand have more water chakra formed in that hand then your lighting one. So in short have an uneven amount, not an even amount.
Then merge the two chakra together in your hands, if done correctly. The storm chakra should be more of a cloud.

I knead lightning chakra on my right hand and water chakra on my left hand, in my mind I believe this would only result in an electric shock but sensei seem serious and thus got me to the conclusion this is no prank, I mold more water chakra within me and transfer it to my left palm increasing the amount of chakra there.
I then combine the uneven elemental chakra on both my hands, as the elements fuse its firm form a storm then as the lightning chakra extinguish from my right hand I continue to pour in the extra water chakra in my left hand the storm element react to this, it begin to change appearance but seem to still retain this charging power, the storm element took the shape and form a less denser thundercloud. It was like the extra water chakra had loosen the storm element bonds.
Astonished by this outcome I protrude my hand forward while maintaining my focus to show you my outcome.

Again I concentrate equal amount of lightning chakra on my right hand and water chakra on my left hand, I add more water chakra to my left hand to make the two different chakra uneven with the water chakra more in abundance. Then I combine both, the combination of both would produce a bright colored storm element, it look almost like a normal cloud without the thunder and stuff.

So this is one that you will need to gather up more lighting chakra then water. Advantage:
* It has a cool range, the lightning beam can extend to far range making it almost inescapable. * No need for hand seals meaning it is a fast technique compared to other techniques that require more than one hand seal * The tech can be stopped as soon as it is started thus allowing the user respond well to counters
Disadvantage:
* The lighting beam travel in a straight path thus making it hard to hit a moving opponent also the beam doesn't auto-target. * The bright nature of the traveling beams makes it hard for the user to maintain visions of the opponent. * The bright colored storm give off a warning sign to the opponent making it less of a sneak move.
Usage:
* I will use the technique to destroy a defensive barrier of lower rank and weaker element, it best to use against an earth or wooden barrier.
Counter:
* focusing on my wind chakra I will counter this technique with wind release: peacock whirlwind formation, I will use the wind to overpower the lighting beam.
Perform It:
* I channel water chakra in one hand and lightning chakra on the other hand, I increase the amount of lightning chakra I accumulated then fuse both element to form a bright colored storm. I maintain focus and turn to face your clone.
Ready, I extend out my arms to full length, as I push my hand forward I release the storm, the storm will part into numerous beams and travel toward the target, I do this through my chakra manipulation skill, I send the multiple beams to hit your clone at his torso region, the beams electrify the clone as well as push him away.
I cancel out the remaining halo of storm on my palms hence canceling the jutsu.

* Is it possible to have up to 100 beams? x_x
* I note you indicate the beams will push back the clone, can the beams not be propagated to pierce through the clone?

Probably not, several is more then two but no more then ten.
It was shown in the anime/manga that it didn't pierce, but push back and shock.

This is the more water less lighting chakra type of one, you will perform the seals. And send your storm chakra all around your body then release it from every angle around your body in the shape of (thick ring of) thunderclouds. This technique can be used two ways: Either by protecting you from all sides from attacks, beside above and below you. Or can be used as an attack itself, releasing bolts of lighting towards your foe. With a five meter radius.

* When active it last for two turn, giving the user the chance/time to take a break/catch their breath/regain composure. * It doesn't require a water source or weather altering preparation beforehand. * It doesn't affect the speed and mobility of the user, the cloud follows the user as they move about.
Disadvantage:
* The range is a disadvantage, it make the user defensive and defending don't win battles U_U * It require hand seals to be waved thus not a fast technique to execute and the hand seals alert the opponent to expect something. * The thick cloud halve the view of the user, the user is unable to see the parts of the terrain blocked by the cloud.
Usage:
* I will use to fend off samurai warriors and close range specialists.
Counter:
* I will counter this with a wind tech like Wind Release: Air Current Wild Dance, due to the range of this tech, I will blow off the thunder cloud along with the user, killing two bird with one stone.

Using advanced shape manipulation I cause the surrounding storm to take the shape of a cloud, a ring of cloud will be formed around me. Then using chakra manipulation I tune the lightning element present in the cloud to come alive, the lightning would give the cloud an electrifying ability turning it into a thundercloud. With this I would have successfully performed this technique.
I cancel the technique afterwards.

You'd have to be aware of the incoming attack. If you think they are making a move towards you, or whatnot. You can use the lighting bolt defence.
It's a cloud, things go right though clouds. Projectiles would go though it, but if you time it right. The projectile can be countered by using the lighting bolt defence.
