Anyone played Dead Space?

Ok so Dead Space 2 just came out and I have heard excellent things, so i'm thinking about picking up the original, is it worth it? Tell me what you think of it! I really like action/shooter games and i really like playing scary games. Do you tihnk i'll enjoy it?

Dead Space 2 is the only game that I can honestly say "Scared the sh*t outta me." I never played the first one so all I can do is highly recommend DS2.

I havent played DS1 but Im on my second playthrough and I still get scared. Really good game. I highly recomend it.

You should definately play DS1. I played, and I haven't played anything scarier since.

Its twice as scary as the latest Resident Evil games....partly because Resident Evil fell off..

I only played a little of DS1 and just today I was at my cousin's house and I was playing DS2, Am I the only one that didn't got scare by it? I know it was creepy but it didn't scare me at all.

I wish you luck! I stopped playing after I got on an elevator and a pregnant thing came though the ceiling and I panicked and shot it's belly and got killed by those stupid parasite craps... Scared the crap out of me... *Shivers*

the weapons are amazing, especially the blade-spitting Ripper
