Anyone knows ms-excel

is it because you wrote "ai" instead of "A1" highlight A1 through A200 and right click. choose format and make sure the category is set to number or general.

Here is a test. Go to the bottom right of your excel. I dont know what version you are using but on 2003 you can right click in the lower right frame of the screen and select "sum". What this will do is sum up everything you have selected. Use it to check your work

I hope you put numbers in the cells, because if they're empty it's logical the result will be 0...

did you try =sum( then highlight the numbers you need then hit enter

basically you are on the money with the format lines, say for instance you want the total of A1-A10 you would click on A11 and type =SUM(a1:A10) there has to be numbers in the boxes of A1 through A10

Last thing I can think to try is to check your settings.

go to Tools -> Options -> Calculations Tab
then make sure "Automatic" is selected.

Run some other fuctions to see if they work.
