It does mean Beautiful, but what does that have to do with anything?
Sure the Language Cycle was Greek/Latin - Greek - Slavic - Russian, but the word came to a different meaning.

i meant why do you separate a county from russia by calling it snow russia when russia is more snowy
it's like calling tunisia desert libya , when libya has mush more desert lands
