When Magellan shows up, Blackbeard lets Luffy and the rest proceed to Level 3, even receiving a comment from Jinbei that Blackbeard's assault on the Great Gaol proved instrumental for the breakout, to which Blackbeard then replied that he's also grateful for, since a panic within Impel Down prior to him and his crew's arrival was exactly what they need, right before stating that his crew and him will "shake the whole world to its core". However, Magellan quickly captures and poisons the entirety of the Blackbeard Pirates, with his Hydra. Blackbeard stated that the pain was unbearable and screamed, as Magellan walked past them to pursue Luffy.

As the gunman of the crew, Van Auger uses a rifle called Senriku (千陸, lit. "Thousand Lands") for battle.[2] The rifle is extra long in length, and allows extraordinary long range shooting. His skills in accuracy seem to surpass Usopp's. When Chopper suggested to Usopp that the seagulls flying around their ship were sniped from an extremely long distance, Usopp immediately disclaims it since they couldn't see the island Auger was on, saying it was 'impossible' for any sniper to do. Auger was even able to tell after he shot the birds that the bullets did not kill them on impact.
Aside from his deadly accuracy, he also seem to have great speed in shooting and running, as he did with his battle against Ace. He predicted where bullets would strike and ran at an extremely fast pace to evade it
Burgess possesses incredible physical strength. He defeated every challenger he fought in Mock Town and threw an entire hotel at Ace across a great distance while jumping high to reach his target.
As the doctor of the crew, Doc Q has the medical training to help them. He also uses apples that have been mixed with explosives to give to his victims.
Doc Q is also known to be carrying around a bag on his back. In present times these bags are usually scythe bags where scythes are kept. Since Doc Q's nickname is the "Grim Repear" and is always seen carrying the bag on his back we can assume he has some skill with the scythe. However in the series he has not been shown yet opening his bag, even agaisnt the battle with Ace or breaking into Impel Down. So from this fact we have not seen in his bag it could even not be a scythe but could more possibly be one.
As a former policeman, Lafitte had authority and power over citizens. However, due to his cruelty, he lost this authority when he was exiled.
As a navigator, Lafitte guides the rest of the Blackbeard pirates through the open seas. His level of navigational skills are as of yet unknown, though it is expected he is a reasonably good navigator to navigate through the Grand Line and the Calm Belt.
He infiltrated Mariejois and bypassed detection of several high ranking Marines and Shichibukai while wearing tap shoes, until he intentionally made his presence noticed. In the Anime, he is shown being able to travel incredible speed, rivaling CP9's Soru technique.
Later he is revealed to (apparently) possess some sort of Devil Fruit that allows him to transform his arms into wings and fly. At this point, it's unknown whether this is a Paramecia or Zoan type fruit.
As former chief guard of Impel Down, Shiryuu had command over lower ranking employees of the fortress. However, due to his abuse of powers, he was stripped of his rank and privileges.
His strength is also said to be comparable to the Chief Warden Magellan. However, since Magellan's work hours are limited by his diarrhea, Shiryuu is considered more dangerous.[1] Despite this, Magellan was still able to suppress Shiryuu and place him in a cell in Level 6.
Apparently Shiryuu is a master swordsman and extremely proficient with a sword, as soon as he got released from his death row cell, Shiryuu has given his sword back and slayed the fellow marine officers around in a split second.Shiryuu also sees his sword as a living being rather than an instrument of war, talking to it as a close friend similar to Ronoroa Zoro.[
