After 700+ chapters Id say thats a fair number.

And D's aren't the only revenant players. Besides luffy we don't know the rest that well.

The yonko, admirals and the big fish don't hold D in their names (Besides Teach) I think people are going a little over board. In Oda I trust.

That we know, yet. Which is precisely my point, I hope Oda doesn't start handing out D titles. A Shichibukai was a D(Law) and we can assume Roger was a Yonko(if they had that title at his time) and he was a D. Garp who the WG wanted to be Fleet Admiral was a D. I just want it to remain that characters who have important knowledge of the story are not part of the D family thing.

So far we have 6 families that have D in their names; Monkey, Gol, Portgas, Marshall, Jaguar, Trafalgar:

• Portgas D Ace *sniff*sniff*sob*sob*

Not really. There are only 9 (well, 11-12 if you count Law's sister and parents) and about half of them are major characters and about half of those are dead.
