How Taijutsu was portrayed in Pre-Time Skip?
I mean no one in this forum can say Taijutsu battles were boring, look at how epic Rock Lee vs Kimimaro was, if not Lee vs Gaara. (Although Lee would've smashed Kimimaro with both of them fulyl recovered no-diff). Also, there must be a reason why Kishi stopped showing how epic Gai, Neji and Lee would really be if they were to face Sasuke, Naruto or Kakashi, or even as to why they were absent from Pain invasion.
Shippuden is so boring now, it's all Rasengan this, Chidori that, Uchiha here, Senju there, Plot Holes and Sharingan everywhere. They killed off Neji and gave and Lee less screen time because they knew they had the power-ups and determination to do so. Although Gai is about to have the most epic 5 second taijutsu battle with Obito soon.
