The Bunshin no Jutsu makes duplicates of the caster. Amaterasu spawns on whatever the caster is focusing on with his eye. The Amaterasu caster cannot differenatiate between the clones so he will not know which to aim for. Since Amaterasu is a chakra-taxing technique, it would be unwise or impossible for the user to use amaterasu on all of the clones.

Method 2:

Substitution jutsu to substitute a log for the actual body, so the log gets caught on fire instead of the Amaterasu user's initial target:

This only works for shadow clones, regular clones are discernable and you would be fodderized because the sharingan can tell the difference.

Actually, the sharingan is able to differentiate between bunshin and the original.

So, a amaterasu user would not have a problem.

However, substitution works fine.
