Yesterday we went to picnic at nigit and i dropped my phone into the sea... Within the secound i took it and swicthed it off and let it get dry...today morning when i swicthed on the phone does not make any sound what i mean is when some one calls me the phone won't ring ...and when i talk they(the person i call)can hear me but i can't hear ...any idea how to make it talk.......

hmmm, well my advice is to let the battery soak in some rice (i think thats a method for getting the water out of phones) if not try and let the battery sit out for awhile and get a house phone and call ur cell phone on the house phone and try messing with it

I'd say just give it a little longer, might still be some water inside it or something.

I heard putting it in a bowl of rice helps. Dry and uncooked rice, obviously. (Oh damn, beat to it by like 3 people).

If it's still not working in a day or two, I guess you'll have to take it to your provider's store and see if they can help. Though I don't think warranties or anything cover water damage.

why wood you guys use rice i such situation
It's all about concentration gradients. Putting the phone in dry rice, which would have almost no water in it, would start to draw water from a place with a greater water concentration (the phone) until an equilibrium is reached. However as you dropped it in the ocean the salt would probably do a lot of irreversible damage done to it. So get a new one.
