It's not an anime, but it's anime inspired. Megas XLR. I really thought I'd hate it, but I loved it. As far as animes, Yu Yu Hakusho really surprised me as well as Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood.

Agree I didn't even watch the full first episode and I skipped to episode 83 and it was my first timeXD but it is REALLY GOOD also in my top 5

naruto at first, when it would be on adult swim some years ago, i always hated naruto's voice and never watched it.
But then my uncle showed me the Japanese sub which i personally like alot more then the English dub. then POW! my new favorite anime

Yu Yu Hakusho. I didn't really think it was that great after finishing it either, but now that it's been a few months since I finished it, I have realized it's one of the best animes I've ever seen =D It's just awesome.

I was so wrong about Gintama I can't believe I almost didn't watch it.

for me it is one piece and dragon ball

when i first seen one piece advertised on toonami i was like not gonna watch that it looks stupid then decided to give it a chance when it aired and loved it from episode one but lost track after luffy got sanji as it stopped running on toonami and i picked it back up about 3 years ago

as for dragon ball i thought it wasn't going to be as good as dbz as he wasn't a super saiyan and couldn't fly then i started to watch it and now i rate it above dbz

Naruto i used to think it's bery silly but when my friend told me to watch it i tried the first episode then continued it all and now look where im up to date with the manga and anime

One piece, i watched it just because i was bored till i got to the white beard arc. that is my favorite manga now i used to think it was overrated but man the whitebeard arc completely changed my mind i even re read and watched the old fights and now i think they are all beast i love that manga
