Setting: Just Inside a Side Entrance to Sunagakure
Narrator: As the Chunin Exams drew near, more and more shinobi, both participants and observers, arrived at Sunagakure. The day before the exams started, all participants but the Otogakure genin, and one of the teams from Konohagakure and Kirigakure had arrived. One day, the Kirigakure squad who had arrived early was taking a stroll to enjoy the host village before the exams began.
Sand Jonin 1: Oi! Who goes there?
Thanos: Someone bothering the sentries outside the village? An intruder right before the exams...?
Sand Jonin 1: Ack!
???: Too easy...
Thanos prepaired himself as he and his squad witnessed four shadowy figures stride through one of the side entrances to the village. As they walked forwards, the formost figure came into view; a man dressed in head to toe with clothing covering his entire body, leaving no skin visible except for his eyes, even in the middle of the desert.
Thanos: So, Mystogan, you decided to come dressed as usual...
Mystogan: Why shouldn't I? It'll take more than a desert to make me reveal my face.
Thanos: And you brought your squad just in time; the exams start tomorrow.
Mystogan: I'm aware; we were off training until now.
Thanos: I'm aware; you and your genin have been absent from the village for nearly a month, now.
Mystogan: Getting stronger; no one's going to get in our way.
Thanos: Are your students that confident?
Shiron: Of course.
Shiron: We'll destroy our competition...
Iyysha: Good luck against us!
Yuuta: Is that so, sister?
Iyysha: Yuuta, you've never been able to keep up with my strength!
Yuuta: Then you wouldn't mind fighting me, right now-!
As Yuuta was reaching to his side with both arms, Mystogan placed a hand on his shoulder.
Mystogan: Don't! Save your strength for the exams, all of you!
Mystogan's Team: Yes sensei...
Iyysha: If you're not going to fight me, this'll be easy!
Iyysha, taking her brother seriously despite Mystogan stopping him from participating, begins to weave handseals. However, before her jutsu can be completed, Mystogan hits her in the solar plexus with the butt of one of his staves.
Mystogan: Didn't you hear me? There will be no fighting at this point in time.
Thanos: What did you do to my student, Mystogan!?
Mystogan: You should be thaking me... Had she been allowed to perform a jutsu I would have been forced to terminate any and all threat to my team.
Thanos looked after Mystogan and their team as they walked away, and then looked back at his student to make sure she was alright.
Setting: Kumogakure Shinobi Resting Quarters
Narrator: As the final squad from Kirigakure arrived at the host village, the shinobi from Kumogakure gathered together in one room to discuss strategy when dealing with other villages.
X: Alright, genin! You all want to become chunin, and there's no reason you can't! If you work together until the final rounds, and not let each other lose, then you should all be able to display your abilities in the final round and advance in the ranks! Does everyone understand!?
Kumogakure Genin: Yes sir!
X: Excellent! Red, Kale, are your squads prepaired for what's ahead!?
Red: Of course, X-sama.
Kale: Yes sir!
X: Perfect! Now let's get out there and destroy these exams!!
Kumogakure Genin: Yes sir!
