I actually think that Itachi has a chance at beatong Obito.

I mean why else would Obito avoid him? Itachi was the only one to figure out that he had entered Konoha, that's got to count for something.

Not only that but various people have figured out Kamui (Sakura, Kakashi, Madara, and Minato)all of whom have worse intelligence than Itachi.

Obito only got to win their little battle of hide and seek because he had a group of mercinaries behind his back, including zetsu.

I don't have an argument really other than my interpretation of the manga, but Itachi's the only one Obito hid from.

There is literally nothing in itachi's arsenal that would put him at Ms obito's level. Even tsukuyomi is debateable as Obito has proven multiple times that his genjutsu is on par with itachi's himself. He could easily break it same way sasuke did with 3 tomoes.

The genjutsu used on Kakashi most probably wasn't near the level he is capable of. He controlled a perfect jinchuuriki so that should be enough to suggest he is one of the most proficient genjutsu users in the manga

also Itachi had to resort to tsukuyomi to subdue Kakashi. There isn't much suggesting Itachi's 3t is any better than Obito's. 3t is irrelevant anyway in this matchup..

If Itachi uses that crow, Obito might as well be fighting against both Itachi and Shisui. So the crow doesn't count. That crow is different from summonings, as it contains full power of another ninja

If the crow is restricted, Obito should win without much effort

It's not that, it's that Itachi wouldn't use it in any case. In life he was saving Shisui's eye in case Sasuke ever decided to destroy Konoha.
