I don't know if someone pointed this out but look at the Mountains where Hagoromo and his brother are standing and sealing the Juubi and then look at the picture below. I just saw this and thought I should share.

Also, Orochimaru has used these ropes as a uniform for himself and his village since years, dunno why.

UPDATE : Midnight here, will look more into this tomorrow. :)

UPDATE 2 :
So, thanks to a few people pissing me off, I decided to read and learn tonight itself. (Thank you for ruining my morning run tomorrow.)

Here goes,

The rope is called a Shimenawa and the Paper Strips (Triangles) are called Shide but that isn't important here.

What's important is that Shimenawa is tied around any naturally existing object to convert it into a Shrine and invite Kami (God, Good luck etc). This object is called Yorishiro.

Shimenawa is the boundary or separation between Kami and Mortals. It separates God from Mortals.

Common Yorishiro are,
• Trees
• Rocks - Iwakura and Iwasaka (e.g. Izanami and Izanagi rocks i.e. Meoto Iwa)
• Swords
• Mirrors
• Magatama
• Persons – Yorimashi

OBSERVATIONS
• The juubi was God Tree before but since it changed form, we dont see any Shimenawa on it.
• The rocks having Shimenawa and Shide indicates them being used for the sealing ritual. (Speculation)
• Orochimaru wanted to reach perfection thus believed himself to be separate from the others. He considered himself a Yorimashi and believed he could attract Kami. As I said, Shimenawa indicates separation between Kami and Mortals.
That's all I could dig. Sleepy *yawn* Good night guys.

I Googled it and found the image. The rope and those white triangular strips are exactly the same. Kishi sensei does love mythology and religion.
yes he loves mythology.. i found that reincarnation in budhism have 6 point.. something like that .. that is why so6p,and juubi jinchuriki have 6 stuff around neck..

This doesnt make you look smart, or add anything to the common knowledge.

Better look more into this and finding out what the ropes mean, cuz your thread does not mean anything atm.

Not trying to look smart. Even your comment didn't make you look smart anyway. You see its midnight here in India, to study on this is already in my checklist. Will do it tomorrow. :)

I googled "shinto tree"
Wikipedia told me this:

A yorishiro (依り代・依代・憑り代・憑代?) is an object capable of attracting spirits called kami, thus giving them a physical space to occupy during religious ceremonies.

"shinto rope"
Shimenawa (標縄・注連縄・七五三縄, literally "enclosing rope") are lengths of laid rice straw rope used for ritual purification in the Shinto religion.

Shimenawa are believed to act as a ward against evil spirits. They are often found at Shinto shrines, torii gates, and sacred landmarks.

They are also used around yorishiro (objects capable of attracting spirits, hence inhabited by spirits). These notably include certain trees, in which case the inhabiting spirits are called kodama, and cutting down these trees is thought to bring misfortune. In cases of stones, the stones are known as iwakura (磐座、岩座?).

Ok.They use a shinto seal setup , priests had a lot of knowledge at that time!

Thank you and nice research to you too. We make a good team says my experience on many of my posts on NB. :p
Your threads are interesting me.
Is that sun/moon cooperation?Real happiness?

I was thinking about Orochimaru and his "shinagawa" , and I thought about that:

Uzumaki clan leader have a "shinagawa" , he is a Yorimashi.
A yorimashi(shinto) is the same thing as a jinchuriki in Naruto.
Nothing shocking there cause Uzumaki are the inventors of the Jinchuriki seal.

Orochimaru , Uzumaki and the rikudou brothers!

The great question now , who invented those shinto seals?
