TTGL for one, went through the first episodes and wondered if it would continue like it was but I failed to realize that development was key in this show.
I was a bit younger and when I tried reading Monster for the first time I had trouble keeping up with all the names and events so I withdrew from it at first. Then I read 20th Century Boys when I was older and decided to give it another try and it was a lot better.

Naruto Shippuden. Back when I first watched an anime(Besides DBZ and Pokemon c_c) I watched bleach and I was really interested in Bankai's and the Groups like the Espada and there ranks and I thought Naruto didn't have that. Lol I was wrong >.>
One piece, I Remember searching up the top 10 anime fights and one of the OP fight was shown (rob lucci vs luffy), I was like, "damn! The guys look so weird, I'm never gonna watch this child like show" (lol?)...
And then I eventually gave it a try a year after that, mainly cause my bro was forcing me to watch it, tempting me by telling all the positive stuff about the manga, and well? now it's one of my fav shows...

Beelzelbub. The first episode was so childish and the concept was pretty stupid but I ended up loving it. Definitely one of my favourites.
