One thing that has me wondering at all times....

anime in general being mainly japanese, in all my life NEVER have i seen 1 anime with 1 character who actually looks asian except for the indian guy who fought in the world tournament from dragon ball ...

and 2 of the most famous main characters form anime ( ICHIGO, NARUTO)

both have blonde/orange hair and thats funny because theres isnt one japanese person or asian in the whole world that is of any other natural hair color other than black

And I've wondered the same thing, the most important characters always have the least Japanse lookxd. For so far as I know there are 2 reasons for.
One is just to make it more popular in the West. If all those characters would look like Japanese people, I probarly would stop looking(don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against Asians/Japanse people), because it would be more difficult to feel a connection with the characters.
Two is that, since world war II, Japan is more oriented to the West then to Asia.

I think it is to do with the company wanting the people in the animes to seem unusual and different from real life, to change the atmosphere and style of the anime. By genetics, japanese people have fairly brown skin, dark hair and dark eyes. If you think about it, what would be more appealing to the viewers? A huge different variety in people, or just like ordinary people.
