CHRNO CRUSADE

Info (By AnimeNFO) :
The story takes place in the year 1920 in the United States of America. Paid to exterminate demons, Chrno and Sister Rosette are professional exorcists from the Magdala Monastery. They travel between various places to prevent demons from taking possession and haunting various things that come from outside the U.S.A.

One day, Rosette was given the orders to investigate a "demon master" known as Ricardo who was a wealthy American. Infiltrating the hotels that Ricardo possessed, they meet a young girl named Asmaria who was captured by him. She had a special power that allowed her to get near gods using her singing. As her power got discovered, it meant people around her always felt uncomfortable. And so, she was always alone.

Seeing how Asmaria was giving up because of her fate, Rosette reassures her and says, "If you give it all you've got, you'll be able to change anything for sure." Their battles were extremely fierce but, thanks to Asmaria's help, they manage to beat the treachery that stood before them.

Thinking that they'll have peaceful days again now that Asmaria's case was solved, some important information comes in. The enemy who was sending out the demons is Joshua. Joshua was the name of Rosette's younger brother who she was seperated from at birth. In the orphanage where they were brought up, they were well known for how well they got along. Just like twin brother and sister.

But, as Joshua has a power that makes him act as an agent for god, he was also feared by those around him. He longs to go against Rosette for the great power she possessed... And so, Joshua entrusts himself to the great demon Ion and disappears right before Rosette's eyes. Later, he appears once again to confront them at the monastery. In order to rescue Joshua, Rosette sets off on a journey together with Chrno and Asmaria.

On their journey, as the Rosette party exterminate demons as pros to earn money, they meet Stella. Thinking that Chrno may have been the demon who murdered his parents, she approaches them. However, he finds out that Chrno hadn't done anything like that in the past and so, she goes along with them (against her own will?) so that she could gather information on the demon she's after.

During that time, the assasins that Ion sent out found them. Being seperated from her friends, Rosette must fight alone. She bearly wins the battle but, in the end, she continues her journey without obtaining any clues linked to Ion...

BASTARD (My Personal Favorite, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!)

Anime Info: (From Animereview)
Our story begins in a far future where the world has been through an apocalypse that spawned all sorts of strange and evil creatures, leaving human beings in a precarious position. Things have gone back to a feudal era where sorcery, sword fighting, and armor plating rule the day. Four warlords of chaos get together to break the seals that hold back a creature of ultimate darkness, and as the viewer knows, this can't be good. At the same time...Yoko is best friends with Rushe, a little boy who follows her everywhere. Little does she know that buried deep within Rushe is a secret weapon, the wizard known as Dark Schneider. When the warlords' plans come to the attention of the free world, there's a realization that Dark Schneider is the only hope of defeating the threat.

There's only one problem. Dark Schneider is a freak.

Nevertheless, when your kingdom is under fire from the most powerful magic known to man, you resurrect whomever you can. With Yoko's kiss, Rushe becomes the legendary Dark Schneider. Now he's not really happy about the arrangement, since he was essentially imprisoned for a very long time. Eventually, he figures, why not? He'd love to prove that he's still the most powerful being on Earth, and if that takes defeating some of his old comrades in arms, so be it. As long as he can get his groove on, he's happy...but is a rusty white-haired jerk of a warlock going to be able to handle the job?

His older brother Tasuku is studying in America; Tasuku's delinquent girlfriend, Mamimi, keeps hanging around with Naota in search of companionship. If that weren't enough weird influences, Naota's life gets even stranger when Haruko, a crazy redhead who claims she's an alien, runs over him with a moped, gives him mouth to mouth resuscitation, and finishes the job by whacking him over the head with her bass guitar. Then she moves in as his family's maid. And this is the first ten minutes.

HELLSING (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!)

She decided she's not quite ready to face the eternal yet, and so the mysterious Alucard drinks her blood, turning her. SABER MARIONETTE J

Anime Info: (From Animereview)
In another place and time, a spaceship of human colonists is destroyed, and only six men survive the crash landing on a planet they name Terra II. Forced to clone themselves rather than face extinction, they populate this planet over an expanse of time, though they lack the ability to create an actual female. As our show begins, we are introduced to Otaru, a young man who's made a living selling wares in the country of Japoness, scraping up just enough money to get by. An honest, friendly guy, he's often picked on by Hanagata, a rich snob who happens to have his eye on Otaru for a best friend (cough, AHEM, cough). Otaru's life changes dramatically, however, when he accidentally activates a special marionette named Lime. Marionettes are not uncommon--they look like women and are used by the rich to do chores and other subservient tasks--but Lime is special. For one, she acts almost human, showing emotion and interest in life itself, which simply isn't supposed to exist in a marionette's programming. Second, Lime imprints on Otaru and decides to make it her prime task to love and defend him. As the story progresses, we start to see some sort of strange relationship developing between them. If that wasn't enough, there's a nearby country whose fuehrer, Faust, is plotting a grand scheme to take over Japoness from the shogun. Otaru and his growing group of friends get messed up in the intrigues that follow from foiling that plan.

SLAYERS

Anime Info: (From Animereview)
The show revolves around Lina Inverse, a cute but deadly 15 year old sorceress who has already made a name for herself as a powerful adversary and somewhat flaky treasure hunter. As the series begins, Lina steals several powerful items from a bandit gang that's been terrorizing the countryside...and what harm is there in robbing robbers anyway, right? Soon afterwards, she runs into Gourry, a capable yet doltish swordsman who thinks she's a little girl in need of protection. He soon finds out that Lina's more than capable of taking care of herself, and they become a makeshift team. As the travel, they find out that Lina stole more than a few knickknacks...she has in her possession a special magic item that could lead to the end of the world in the wrong hands. Will Lina, Gourry, and their friends save the universe from ancient resurrected evil, or will they just go out to dinner instead? After all, being an all-powerful magician requires a lot of food.

TENCHI MUYO

Anime Info: (From Animereview)
Tenchi is a rather average high school student with a unique family secret--there's an ancient demon trapped in a cave behind his grandfather's home. Curious and just a tad rebellious, Tenchi winds up seeing if there really is such a monster lurking in his backyard...and releases a sprightly demon-creature-goddess called Ryoko. When she's not trying to kill Tenchi, Ryoko finds she actually has a soft spot for him. But then a cast of thousands (well, maybe tens) starts appearing. It turns out Ryoko was imprisoned by one of the members of the ancient royal family of Jurai, and their kin start coming to Earth to find out what's going on. Tenchi learns that he's a descendant of Jurai, meaning that he's a potential heir to the galactic throne. Between Ryoko, the too-polite princess Ayuka, the goofy blonde detective Mihoshi, a rabbit/cat/spaceship called Ryo-ohki, and half a dozen other women, Tenchi has his hands full!

TRIGUN (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!)

Anime Info: (From Animereview)
Vash the Stampede: a gunslinger considered so dangerous that there is a $60 million bounty on his head. Such things aren't taken lightly in the "John Wayne meets the friendly post-apocalypse" universe of TRIGUN, and there are hundreds, if not thousands of bounty hunters more than willing to cash in. There are only a couple of problems: first, no one's quite sure what Vash is supposed to look like, so plenty of fakes claim his identity in order to strike fear in the hearts of their enemies. Second, there's the slight problem the real Vash has--he's a complete idiot! How he has stayed alive for as long as he has is unbelievable, but it's no matter. As the events in the first volume of TRIGUN unfold, we follow the incredible life of Vash as he wriggles his way out of countless situations through his utter incompetence. There are two young women he runs into frequently--Meryl and Milly--whose job is to track him down for their insurance company, since they pay out countless claims for the damage left in his wake. Meryl can't believe that such a moron could actually be such a legend, though, and so their quest continues. As they wander, they find out that Vash may be crazy, but ultimately he's a good man whose only real sin is to be in the middle of so much lunacy!

VARIABLE GEO (18+ BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! TOO BAD IT'S A SHORT SERIES)

Anime Info: (From Animereview)
In our 3-part OVA, Variable Geo is a contest between waitresses across Japan who take their martial arts skills to the limits. Arenas are virtually everywhere, from Olympic-style stadiums to boxing rings that, when activated, rise out of busy traffic intersections. There's a big catch to the competition, though: the final winner gets real estate and cash prizes. The losers along the way have to strip naked in front of millions of home viewers. Either way, the audience is happy, right?

Into this world enters Yuka, an, um...bouncy server who would love to help her shop owner by winning the competition and getting some prime real estate to get out of the hovel they currently work in. Her best friend, Satomi, isn't in the competition, but she has helped Yuka train to get to the top. And things appear to be OK...that is, until Satomi's little brother winds up in the hospital again. While Yuka is busy making sure she's not the one having to doff her clothes on national television, Satomi is getting drawn into the dark commercial syndicate who runs Variable Geo. The corporation promises to take care of Satomi's medical bills for her brother, but at a price...and her choice will put her in direct competition with her best friend. As Yuka gets closer and closer to the final tournament, the dark web of intrigue grows tighter, and Yuka may not survive the last round

In one line: "A fun trip with a fabulous crew, from start to end, and back to the start for another go!"

Briefly, the story is about Simon, a driller. Pretty boring till now. It's also about Kamina, Simon's brother, and a lot of other people. The story is also about Spirals, Beastmen and the Anti-Spirals. A story about hippopotamus made of grapes. About mecha battles. About love. About tragedy. About courage in the face of adversity. About unfaltering determination against all odds. And specially, about huge mega powerups that make Dragon Ball characters seem sooo weak. Well, basically, it's ONE anime which you will really enjoy if you watch. Definitely recommended! It's not rated #1 for no reason :p

~Fullmetal Alchemist
"The rules of alchemy state that to gain something, one must lose something of equal value."

Alchemy is the process of taking apart and reconstructing an object into a different entity, with the rules of alchemy to govern this procedure. However, there exists an object that can bring any alchemist above these rules, the object known as the Philosopher's Stone. The young Edward Elric is a particularly talented alchemist who through an accident years back lost his younger brother Alphonse and one of his legs. Sacrificing one of his arms as well, he used alchemy to bind his brother's soul to a suit of armor. This lead to the beginning of their journey to restore their bodies, in search for the legendary Philosopher's Stone.

~Jigoku Shoujo[Hell Girl]
"Beyond midnight's veil lies the revenge you could not exact alone."

Jigoku Shoujo takes place in modern Japan where the internet has filled the lives of many people in this bustling world of technology and sins. This anime portrays the cruelty of the human race, and shows that there are many people in this world that suffer terribly and that, indefinitely, most people wish those that are making their lives miserable would just die and go to hell. And, of course, Jigoku Shoujo, or Hell Girl, is there to exact their revenge.

A few of my personal favorites ^^

Biomega

Author- Tetsuomo Nihei

(One of my best Mangas!,
nothing I've seen before, perhaps just in Akira, but in little horror)

futuristic - action - thriller - horror-wish - surrealistic

It is drawn Incredibly!,
In it a lot is left for the reader to interpret, nothing is put 1 : 1.

The action takes place in the far future. The most remarkable thing
about it is that time and place is not absolute - it's shifting! The starting place is a post-apocalyptic megapolis, where people are
governed by two main organizations, the "Toha heavy industries co."
and the DRF (Data recovery foundation, see the manga for reference :D),
and it ends up in a completely alien landscape, where earth is turned
in to a giant alien-torus shaped gigapolis by an alien virus, spread by
the DRF, in search of the perfect race.. There are four main characters, where the major protagonist is a synthetic super-human manufactured by TOHA co., who fights the DRF for more than 5000 years in the manga!

That's my recent most favorite, check it out!
I checked Nihei's all other works, and it turned out
that their story is related to Biomega, and between them as well!

Yeah, the plot in wikia:

Set in the future, the plot follows Zouichi Kanoe and his AI companion Fuyu Kanoe, whose luminous form is integrated into the system of his motorcycle. They are agents sent by Toha Heavy Industries to retrieve humans with the ability to resist and transmute the N5S infection, which is spreading across the world, turning humans into "Drones"; disfigured, zombie-like beings.
