Developed by 4J Studios and Created by Mojang, Minecraft: XBOX 360 Edition takes players through the same PC experience on Microsoft's console. With zombies, creepers, and skeletons (oh, my!) running amock, the player must build a shelter and build in the ever-expanding world of Minecraft.

Differences from the PC and XBOX 360 include:

-The player can use the XBOX 360's Kinect function with Minecraft. Although you do not have to have it to play, it sure would make things a little interesting,...and make it seem awkward when you flailing your hand in front of the screen trying to mine with your pickaxe...*shudders*.

-Unlike in the PC version, players simply do not have to put materials in the correct spot on the crafting menus. If you have enough materials, the game will simply make it for you.

-An awesome new feature includes a 4-player splitscreen for you and your buddies/relatives/aunts/dogs/alien life forms/etc. at home, not to mention 8 player multiplayer over XBOX LIVE.

-A similarity between the two version is that Mods/Skins/Texture Packs will be available for the 360, although will not be accessible at launch.

-Very much from the PC version, players who have never had the Minecraft experience will be treated to a Tutorial mode that lets the player build their first house and get familiar with the tools.

-The world is 1000x1000 blocks, and unlike the PC version, players will always begin with a new world with a map.

The release date for Minecraft: XBOX 360 Edition is Wednesday, May 9th, 2012. The price is 1600 Microsoft Points for the XBOX LIVE Arcade.

More like:

-A similarity between the two version is that Mods/Skins/Texture Packs will be available for the 360 - They will be about 20billion microsoft points per pack, although they will not be accessible at launch.

Meh, won't spend 1600 on that crap. I mean, Minecraft is nice but I won a beta-code last February for the PC version, no need for me to get the Xbox Version of it. All my friends are getting it, except for my best friends that thinks just like me. "Why pay for the same game again if we can always play it on PC?"

And care to explain how that was a review? ;}

review: a formal assessment or examination of something

Reviews don't techinically have to be some criticizing or giving a personal opinion of something. I was merely assessing the game for what it was and what the neat features it comes with.

As for the price, I do agree with you only slightly. The prices for mods/texture packs/etc. will not be as high as you think. They will only come in the form of combo packs, so you won't have to pay, say for instance, 120 ms points for just one pack or just one mod. The XBOX 360 version will be better than the PC in a lot of ways, including the "no lag" meaning that you don't have to have an excellent connection to get the most out of the experience, or the at home co-op. which you and your buddies can play Minecraft instead of 3 guys watching 1 guy on his computer. Saves energy. Saves time. Preserves the fun. As for price, the PC version is more expensive than the 360. XBOX LIVE's Microsoft Points system works for 400 MS Points = 5 US Dollars. Would you rather spend 30 dollars or 20 dollars? I'd pick the latter.
