ANBU's

I was wondering and it has always been a question i have are the ANBU black ops the strongest shinobi in the leaf cause i saw an old naruto episode where kakashi stated that the ANBU are the "supposed" to be best and is ANBU a higer rank than Jonin?

they aren't the "best" but they are high ranking ninja that are trained for nothing other then the mission.

Anbu and Jonin are the same rank. Its just that the Anbus are advanced jonin that carry out secret missions.

anbu are special rank,maybe higher than jonin,and yeah they r very skilled ninja's recruted and specialized for assasination and s-rank dangerous missions !

yeah it is but my guess is that kakashi feels that the ANBU have fallen off since his time. but in their defence when kakshi was growing up the ANBU had ninjas like minato, shino and chojis dad not to mention all of these other currently high ranking ninja.

jonin are like FBI, ANBU are like 007!!!..something like that.. ANBU are more specialized in certain areas than most shinobi's. normal jonin are just fighting material (the ones that did not even entered ANBU, unlike Kakashi or Yamato)

everyone is correct butif you want an idea of what missions anbu go on think avout sai's mission to kill sasuke or itachi killing his clan.
