I mean ANBU is a set of elite ninjas but most of the time what they show is some ANBU throwing kunai...They are not shown as how they are said so?? What do u guys say??

(Note:Except in Pain Invation arc: The 3 ANBU's used some awesome jutsus..)

They are meant to be higher than special jounin except that plot always lead them to die unexplicably easy

Yes..even in that sanbi sealing arc...kabuto jus like that killed an ANBU like kakashi beating konohamaru,,

Yes..They are highly underrated...They werent shown upto the hype that was given for them..

Only kids likes Gaara tailed beast unleashed , and Naruto in chakra rage mode and Sasuke with CM could even go against them...

Kabuto even killed 5 Anbu who was kept as gaurd for him..

ye but thats the problem no genin should be able to face an anbu.. since anbu are normally made up of jonins

Its is stated that they are even superior to jonin's in strength..they are near kage level shinobi's..

Yet kabuto (part 1) effortlessly defeated a 3/4 Anbu that kakashi personally chose to guard sasuke, all by himself.

The anbu watching Hiruzen fight Orochimaru got stuck in kidomaru's webs, While part one neji easily cut them.

Kakashi K.O'ed like 2 Anbu with Genjutsu alone.

From what they've shown they are nothing special, Let alone near kage level.

In-universe, they are supposed to specialize in stuff like intel gathering/spying and stuff, not combat. They do boring routine ninja stuff so that we don't have to see main characters do it :hooray:
