Analyzing Shin Uchiha - Is he stronger than we think?

[Remedy]

Shin was introduced, and we took him as a fodder, but he may be hiding a lot of his potential. Right now, as far as we know the new Akatsuki's goal hasn't been elaborated in full, but they want the eradication of Sasuke for killing Itachi and the remaining traces of the Uchiha clan left.

Before ambushing Sasuke, Shin was sent to test Sasuke's strength, and report it back to his "father".

After the encounter, and witnessing Sasuke's strength first hand, Shin was still confident enough to say "Sasuke will die by my hands." or for the sake of translation that Sasuke can be killed by him or his father.

Upon meeting Naruto, Shin didn't waste time unleashing his big guns on him, coming with killing intent this time around.

Naruto could quickly deduct Shin was nothing ordinary and highly trained.

Shin had to retreat by force, with his father (maybe channeling through the mini juubi) that he is no match for Naruto.

Naruto, being alarmed by Shin, told Sarada & ChoCho even with a shadow clone escorting them back to the Village they still wouldn't be safe.

So, Shin's father sent him to test Sasuke alone (which could've turned out deadly for him), but forced him to retreat against Naruto upon facing him one on one? Shin is no kid, most likely a highly adept experiment with a deadly MS. For all intents and purposes he strength level may that of EMS, and he may have susanoo for all we know. His strength caught the attention of Naruto (who we know can sense and read people in and out) not to take lightly.

I don't think we can deduct anything from this chapter. It's amazing that a kid like hims has MS but I doubt he could hold onto it much longer than that, unless his father experimented with Zetsu/Hashi's juice. Also, since only Kurama acted while Naruto stood still, we can't exactly call Shin stronger than mediocre.

Space time ninjutsu is no mediocre jutsu. He may have different variantions of it, and If he has been tampered with meaning he has Hashi cells and MS, he could very likely have EMS and susanoo. It's still likely than not.

It's mediocre if we want to compare his overall level with Naruto/Sasuke. That's what I meant actually, my bad. Judging from they way Naruto and Sasuke handled him, he doesn't seem like a threat to them, not in the slightest.

The goal of Shin and the hooded guy is to kill Sasuke. That doesn't mean he's strong enough to kill him, he wants to kill him for the sake of his goal/revenge. It's the same as kid Sasuke saying he wanted to kill Itachi. That's why they attacked his daughter. Neither are foolish enough to attack him head on.

And you are underestimatimg onion. onion dodged a 100% kurama + rsm claw which is super fast. That means onion speed is on bar with rsm naruto. If naruto go base mode, you believe naruto can have a better chance to capture him While being slower?!
