The other day, I was talking with some friends about what'll be happening later in the series, and I came up with a pretty cool/crazy idea for an ending, so I figured I'd share it...
I'm not sure what'll happen with the resurrected Kage, but some exciting stuff's going to end up happening, and, in the end, the final showdown will come down to Naruto and Obito.
They'll have some sort of intense fight, that Naruto will appear to be winning.
However, Obito will be ready to unleash his Infinite Tsukuyomi (Needs to make a bunch of hand seals, or do something specific with the Ten-Tails, etc.).
As he's doing so, Naruto rushes forward, Rasengan in hand, aimed straight for his face. As it's JUST about to hit him...the manga (or show, eventually...) cuts to black. Just a black panel/screen.
The next thing we see is the Hidden Leaf, fully rebuilt, in the evening. A crowd of citizens and shinobi stand outside the Kage's building. We see all our favorite characters talking and smiling and being all happy and whatnot...then, we see Kakashi appear on a balcony. He announces to everyone something along the lines of "I present to you...the Sixth Hokage!"
And, all dressed up in the Kage outfit, we see Naruto walk out onto the balcony. He walks to the railing, looks down at the crowd, and smiles...but then, he looks up, and and his smile turns to a sort-of questioning/worried look, as he stares into the sky. Then, for the very last frame of the manga, we see what Naruto's staring at in the sky; a big, ominous, and slightly reddish moon.
Anyway, that's not really what I think will happen...We'll probably get some sort of sappy, "I became Hokage and Sakura loves me" ending...although I think an ending that makes you wonder what really happened would be pretty sweet. What do you guys think?
