Messenger 1: Inferkage! Inferkage-sama!
Zyphron: What is it?
Messenger 1: There is an odd man in the village who wishes to speak with you!
Zyphron: An odd man? That's impossible! The only people who can get into the village must know exactly how to get here; there cannot be a strange man in this village!
Messenger 1: Well, there is, so what are we going to do about it!?
Self-procalimed Inferkage Zyphron thought for a moment or two. Then he stood up, and activated his chakra cloak he had learned so many years ago.
Zyphron: I'll speak with this man. Where is he?
The messenger took Zyphron to the edge of the village, where several ANBU held the mystierious man captive. Zyphron looked down on the man, literally, as he was a short man, and spoke with his authoritive, chakra-distorted voice.
Zyphron: Who are you? Why are you here?
Messenger 2: I am here to speak with the one they call, 'Zyphron'. Would that be you, mister? Or has he passed down his ultimate jutsu to another?
Zyphron: How did you get here? My village is under the securest protections; it's on an elevation, only accessable through a very low incline, making it seem as though there is no incline at all. On top of that, at random intervals, there are drop offs to the hazardous ground below, hidden by a chakra-induced mist, seen through and created by a specialized ANBU squad, and that specific squad only! No dojutsu can see through the mist, distruppted by the chakra, and no eye can see through what is percieved to be a thick fog. Ontop of that, it is a massive laberynth to get up here, and only those who know where every trap, wall, and path is can get up here. And my final intruder-secure system is my ANBU squad, who will tell intruders to leave, until a certain altitude, where they will kill and intruder, unless they can prove that they were invited, or have an unlimited invintation. I can't even traverse in and out of my village; I need an ANBU escort. So, how did you get here!?
The man smiled a toothless smile.
Messenger 2: You say non can traverse your maze, but there is one; I. For you see, it's my Kekkei Genkai to be unaffected by anything relevant to chakra.
Zyphron: What a powerful Kekkei Genkai.
Messenger 2: And aside from myself, unheardof. Now, when you think of powerful, unheardof Kekkei Genkai, what do you think of?
The Inferkage looked the man straight in the eye, and the man knew exactly what he was thinking. 'Home'.
Messenger 2: You have been requested to appear at a certain location tomorrow at midnight-
Zyphron: Being, today to tomorrow, or, tomorrow to the next day?
Messenger 2: Tomorrow to the next day. And if you don't come, we'll find you.
Zyphron: We?
Messenger 2: Yes, we. The Kenkage is very interested in meeting you again.
Zyphron: THE KENKAGE!?!?!?
Fear danced within Zyphron's eyes. The Kenkage, whom he had killed the night before he left the Sword Village, all those years ago, was the only ninja he feared, because it was his scroll that he had learned his one jutsu from, and Zyphron worried that the Kenkage could beat it. He told himself that the Kenkage was dead everyday, but he always wondered...
Zyphron: But- But the Kenkage's DEAD! I killed him myself!
Messenger 2: That Kenkage may be dead, but there is a new one.
Zyphron(To himself): Could it be Christyn!? She was the Kenkage's daughter, after all. It's been so long since I've seen her, and I never got to tell her-
Messenger 2: Well?
Zyphron: I- I will come. Lead me there, you obviously know where you're going.
ANBU 1: But, Inferkage-sama-!
Zyphron: No, sir. You cannot come. Maybe a lesser Kage would require a bodyguard, but not I. I am perfectly able to take care of myself!
ANBU 1: But he's immune to anything related to chakra!
Zyphron: That is not of your concern! Before I had this chakra cloak, I was an expert in fighting without chakra. I'll be fine.
ANBU 1: Yes, Shodaime Inferkage.
Zyphron: Good.
And the Inferkage Zyphron, led by the mysterious messenger, set down the blinding laberynth that hid his village from intruders, to see what the new Kenkage had in store.
Zyphron: Are we nearly there? We've been traveling for a day!
Messenger 2: It's not my fault you wanted to be as far away from the Village Hidden in the Swords as possible.
Zyphron: Where are we going, anyways? This isn't the way to the village.
Messenger 2: I'm not talking you to the village.
The strange man led Zyphron into a strange building. When he made it into the main room, he discovered four of his five friends waiting for him.
Zyphron: No, way!
Uudren: Hey, hey! Looky who decided to show up!
Sora: Hey, look Christyn, it's Zyphron!
Christyn spun around and raced down to Zyphron, giving him a big hug.
Christyn: It's been so long!
Zyphron: I know, how many years?
Zech: Seven.
Zech jumped down from his perch uptop a statue, which hid him from Zyphron's view earlier, to give Zyphron a handshake.
Zech: Not much, compaired to Christyn's greeting, but nice to see you again.
Zyphron: You too!
Zech looked over at the messenger.
Zech: He get's an escort, what is this!?
Zyphron: I guess Christyn likes me better.
Zech: What?
Christyn: What!?
Gryden: What? No, seriously, I wasn't listening; what?
Christyn: You think I'm the Kenkage? No! I left just after you did; I didn't want to be a Kage, but I got dragged into anyways, for my own village, but still...
Zyphron: So, if you're not the Kenkage, Christyn, then... You are?
Zyphron pointed at Zech.
Zech: Nope. Every one of us started our own village's, no one stayed in the Sword.
Zyphron: So then, who called us all here?
Zech: I don't know, but whoever it is must favor you; everyone else got a letter.
Messenger 2: You can't send a letter to his village; you can barely send a messenger to his village. I was sent to tell, and lead, him in person, because I'm the only ninja who can get in, uninvited, and he doesn't invite people into his village.
Zech: I see... And, this guy is...?
Zyphron: No clue. Get lost!
The messenger reluctantly left, and Zyphron turned back to his friends.
Zech: Well, I'll give you two some privacy.
As Zech walked away, Christyn turned back to Zyphron.
Christyn: So, how's it been?
Zyphron: It's been pretty good with me, and you?
Christyn: I can't believe I haven't seen you since I was ten, and I still feel this way.
Zyphron was silent for a few seconds, trying to figure out how Christyn's sentance answered his question in any way. Eventually, he just gave up and played off of it.
Zyphron: And, what way would that be?
Christyn: I-
Christyn looked down at the floor, trying to stay away from Zyphron's eyes.
Christyn: Back in the village, I-
Zyphron put his finger under Christyn's chin and pushed her head up.
Zyphron: I liked you. I still like you.
Christyn: I-
He eye's darted away.
Christyn: I like you, too.
They came closer, about to kiss, when they were inturrupted by the new Kenkage comming to speak to them.
Kenkage: I see you're all- Am I inturrupting?
Gryden: Yeah, come back in about five minutes and lets see where these two go!
Christyn: Shut up, Gry!
Zyphron: Are you the new Kenkage?
Kenkage: Well, yes, and no. And then no again.
The other four came closer the Kenkage.
Sora: What's that supposed to mean?
Kenkage: Well, I was the Kenkage, but the Kenkage is traditionally a ninja, whereas I'm a Samurai.
Zech: That's 'yes and no', but what about the other 'no'?
Kenkage: Well, long story short, the Village Hidden in the Swords is no more.
Everyone: WHAT!?
Kenkage: Well, after our younger, stronger, ninja's left, I was appointed Kenkage, and soon afterwards, we were invaded and destroyed by a stronger village. I barely escaped, but I was one of only a few who did.
Zyphron: If this happened so long ago, why are we just hearing about it now?
Kenkage: Because, other villages are joining forces under one supreme village, and calling themselves 'lands'. You six must ban your villages together to create a 'Land of Iron', no arguing the name, so we can protect ourselves agaisnt a massive invasion like that, again.
Zech: I see... But you want to do what the other lands did, and have one, supreme village; a 'leader' if you will.
Kenkage: Yes.
Zech: Sigh. Well, look no further, the Acikage and the Village Hidden in Acid will take the tedious positon; I am the strongest one here.
Zyphron: HEY! We don't know that; you've never fought me with my new jutsu!
Christyn: And some of us could've improved since the last time you fought us.
Gryden: YEAH!
Christyn: I was talking about myself.
Gryden: Oh, yeah, well, so was I.
Kenkage: Enough of this fighting; save it for later. I believe that any of you could be good enough to be the leader of the Land of Iron, and that's why you're here. There will be a tournament to decide who's the most powerful, and who will be the supreme village/village leader.
Christyn: You want us to fight over leadership!?
Kenkage: Essentially, yes.
Zyphron looked at Christyn, and Christyn looked back.
Zyphron: But, what if we can't fight our opponent?
Kenkage: Then one of you will have to surrender. I have made up the draw; the first fight will be between Zypher and Uudren, the second Gryden and Zech, and the thrid battle will be between Christyn and Sora. The winners of the second and third rounds will fight each other, and then the winner of that will face off againt the winner of the first round. Any questions? No? Then follow me.
The Kenkage led the six other Kage's down to the fighting floor. On the way, Uudren Kaguya had a question.
Uudren: Say, Kenkage, what's the name of the place we're at?
Kenkage: Why do you want to know?
Uudren: Curiosity.
Kenkage: Well, seeing as this is where we will choose our Kage, in a dojo on top of a mountain, I like to call it, the Kage's Summit.
Uudren: Cool.
Uudren Kaguya and Zypher took their spots on the fighting grounds, and the other five people took their spots on a balcony above.
Kenkage: BEGIN!
Uudren: Not even a 'three, two, one'?
Zyphron blasted off of his spot on the floor the moment the Kenkage said 'begin', the same moment he activated his jutsu. He went to punch Uudren in the head, stopped by his protruding collar-bone that came out instinctivly, almost like Gaara's sand.
Uudren: My turn.
Uudren's spinal cord emerged from his neck and wrapped arond Zyphron. Then, he brought back his arm, making it covered by bones to form a drill, and smashed into Zyphron's chakra cloak, causing the bones to shatter on impact.
Zyphron: That was powerful. Now it's my turn.
Zyphron let loose a chakra explosion, shattering Uudren's spinal cord and sending him flying. Then he raced down to Uudren, his sword in hand, and put it against Uudren's neck.
Zyphron: Done.
Kenkage: WINNER; INFERKAGE ZYPHRON!
Uudren: Already?
Zyphron propelled himself up to the balcony, Uudren pulling himself up with his spinal cord, and they stood, as Zech and Gryden jumped down to the arena; well, Zech jumped, Gryden made a staircase of earth. Zyphron didn't deactivate his chakra cloak, because he was just going to use it again soon enough.
Christyn: I want you to know, if we go up against each other, I'll surrender so you can be our leader.
Zyphron smiled.
Zyphron: Thank you.
Zyphron put his arm around Christyn and watched the fight.
Zyphron: You know, it's been so long, I actually forget Zech's Kekkei Genkai.
Christyn: I'm going to let it be a surprise.
Kenkage: BEGIN!
Gryden: You're going down, Zech!
Without speaking, Zech ran at Gryden, hopping to get to him and finish it before he could make a move, but he underestimated Gryden's abilities. Gryden had advanced in the seven years he'd been gone; showing the ability to use his Kekkei Genkai without handseals, or gestures. A wall of earth errupted in front of Zech, and when it went down, Gryden was gone.
Zech: Where are you, moron!?
A slab of earth came at Zech from behind, but Zech jumped over it without looking. Then he landed on a pillar that rose beneath him, seeing the entire field was covered in randomly moving pillars, some pillars with pillars comming out of their sides.
Zech: That's not insane at all.
Gryden: Watch what you call insane!
Gryden's voice seemed to emulate from every pillar, giving Zech no clue about where to go first. But he didn't have to wait long. Soon after that, a knife came out of the ground to try and cut his foot, but Zech was too fast and avoided it, spitting acid onto the spot the hand was. As his acid melted a bowl in the pillar, he saw Gryden's back disappearing into it. When Zech landed in the bowl, the pillar fixed itself, trying to crush Zech, but he was too fast and melted an escape hole before he was crushed.
..... As Zech began to fall, two more pillars came from either side of him, trying to crush him, yet again.
Zech: It seems as though I've underestimated you.
Zech melted a hole in one of the pillars, giving him enough room to live and escape before it was refilled. Zech rolled to the ground and put his hands into a snake handseal.
Zech: MASSIVE ACIDIC TIDAL WAVE!
Gryden: WHAT!?!?!?
Zech let out a massive wave of acidic poisons from his mouth, melting through every last one of Gryden's pillars, and nearly eating Gryden himself. Sora pulled him out with his outsider flight jutsu before it was too late.
Kenkage: WINNER; ZECH!
Zech walked up the wall to the balcony, while Gryden was pulled by Sora. As Christyn was about to find her own way down, she was lifted off her feet by Sora.
Sora: Ma'lady.
Christyn: Thank you.
Sora and Christyn drifted down to the fighting floor, dried from any acidic poinsons, and got prepared to fight.
Kenkage: BEGIN!
Christyn began with a barage of kunai, which Sora dodged by flying above them. Then she let the barrage loose everywhere, which Sora tried to block with a water shield, but ended up collected acid from Zech's previous attack. The acid began to burn through his hands and the fight was called off, Christyn being the winner.
Zech: Hey man, sorry about that.
Sora: Don't worry; I didn't want to be the leader anyways. Good luck.
Zech and Sora traded places, and the fight began. Christyn went through her entire kunai-genjutsu ritual, all for naught, having them melted by Zech's acid. Then, she tried a scent genjutsu, matching it to the smell of Zech's acid. When Zech started to smell his acid, without using any of his acid jutsu's yet, he knew something was up, so he broke his finger to escape a possible genjutsu.
Zech: Toxic Fume Jutsu!
A plume of purple smoke errupted from Zech's mouth, making Christyn unable to breath, and when she tried, breathing in poison.
Zyphron: CHRISTYN!
Zyphron jumped down from the balcony, his cloak causing an explosion large enough to dissapait the poison. Sora took an unconsious Christyn away, and Zech and Zyphron started their fight.
..... Zyphron launched himself at Zech, Zech trying to block it, but failing against the superior jutsu. Zech and Zyphron sword-fought for a while, Zyphron enraged at what Zech did to Christyn, tried to break Zech's sword the whole time, finally succeeding. Then Zech jumped back, and let loose a blast of acid. The acid landed on Zyphron's chakra cloak, but Zyphron blasted that part off, saving himself from the chakra.
Zech(To himself): How am I supposed to beat someone I can't hit!?
Zyphron(To himself): I'm going to KILL him for what he did!!!
Zyphron ran at Zech, and let loose his 'Explosion Draining Punch', draining Zech of his chakra, until Zech rolled out of it. He came around with his broken sword, breaking it further, and Zyphron nailed his head into the ground, with an explosion of chakra, finishing the fight once and for all.
Kenkage: WINNER, AND LEADER OF THE LAND OF IRON; ZYPHRON!
Everyone cheered, Zyphron deactivated his chakra cloak, and Zech shakily got to his feet to congratulate Zyphron.
Zech: Hey, good fight.
Zyphron: Yeah, you too.
They shook hands, and Zech was about to say something else, when Christyn jumped down, and hugged Zyphron.
Christyn: YOU DID IT; YOU WON!
Christyn kissed Zyphron, and the hugged tighter. Zech walked away, letting go of what he was about to say, and the Kenkage was the one who inturrupted Christyn and Zyphron.
Kenkage: Okay, Zyphron, there's some paperwork you have to do, and then it'll be official.
Zyphron pulled away fro Christyn to speak to the Kenkage.
Zyphron: You can't give me five minute's, can you?
Kenkage: No.
The Kenkage and Zyphron went over the papers, and Zyphron, the Inferkage, became the official leader of the Land of Iron. The six Kage went their separate ways, all of them having unlimited invintations to the Village Hidden in the Inferno, and they stayed a small, yet prosperious, and respected land. And all was good. For a while...
Zyphron: What is it?
Messenger 1: There is an odd man in the village who wishes to speak with you!
Zyphron: An odd man? That's impossible! The only people who can get into the village must know exactly how to get here; there cannot be a strange man in this village!
