Is it possible at all to be able to save a new thread as a draft and come back to it to edit and submit it? I think I would find that extremely useful on here. I've seen this feature on other forums and it's quite a great one~
It's better than posting my stuff on my notes or sending myself pr.messages. ;(

You must be registered for see images

The *Save Draft Sub System* is designed to allow members to save (New Posts, New Replies, New PMs) as a draft! This allows for saving a message that you might not be able to finish at the present time, but want to not lose that message!

This *Save Draft System* does more than just *save the message*... For a couple of examples;

1. Save Message (Duh~:p)
2. Remembers all form options (icons, subscriptions, disabled this or enabled that)
3. Allows for saving Attachments
4. Allows for unlimited (edits) before posting or sending message
5. Remembers (topic, post, forum you are replying to) <~ Very useful!
6. UserCP, folder views (lists messages with easy controls to manage all drafts)

I look it up on other websites and got this information and many more~ This information if from a guy who has installed it, it looked pretty neat to me.

"Save Drafts Controls (Forum Display)

Save draft controls "Save Draft" and "Folder Views" are only visible to members that have permission to use that control! If a member has saved his/her maximum allowed drafts for a certain folder, then that control is closed. They will not be able access it.

Save Drafts Controls (Admin Display)

Because the Save Draft System, is based not only group permissions, you can limit what groups can do! One group can save all types of messages (new Post, New Replies and New PMs) while the other can only save maybe (New PMs). The control extends it's self the same way for saving (Attachments).

Instead of making a Admin Panel that would very complicated due the nature of multi permissions, I have made the admin panel simple to use, but even with the simplity of the control, the combinations that the control gives you, offers you many options with simple ease of use as it's design logic was intended!"

What do you think? Nice feature, is that not? I am sorry if this thread is somehow already made, but I did not find any similar thread to this nonetheless thanks for reading!~ xd

Such a thing would have to get heavily tested to be implemented on a site this size and maybe it would slow down the site too much like other plugins have done that was created for smaller sized forums.

Either way if you could link me the plugin that you are talking about that would be a good start.

I got most of the information of this person:

An auto-save feature was recently added to vB4, so I figured it would be nice if we vB3 users could also get something similar

For now, I am marking this as a beta release until we're sure it works in all browsers that support localStorage and there aren't any outstanding bugs.
I did think it might be rough at first because installing it might get you minor bugs, but this person said (the above) that it is completely fine and besides his post was from long ago. The feature must have been improved by the years. Lets give it a shot. :3 Though it's all up to you~
