Honestly, I've had this topic on my mind ever since I read the comments on Meghan Trainor's - "All About The Bass" music video. There was this argument saying between fat gain being put on the food, rather than the person.
While I was thinking about it, I began to disagree. Honestly, I feel that one cannot blame weight gain on corporations like McDonalds or Burger King just because they provide us with foods like they do. It's not their job to always sell healthy food, even though they should try a little harder with that, if their focus is burgers and fries. Blaming them is kind of similar to just covering the truth that the population of America who are considered obese, and do not have any type of health condition causing them to remain obese, is their fault.
The real thing that I feel America needs to realize is simple, moderation and motivation.
MODERATION: Being that our world is starting to become more aware of how fast food effects us, we should start focusing on moderation. What I've noticed in my community is that not every one wants to work-out no matter how much the First Lady tries to encourage it, and weight loss would only be half the battle because people can quickly snap back into eating habits just as quickly as drug addicts can relapse. Teaching people how to eat junk food they like maybe twice a month or once a week will be better for obese people.
MOTIVATION: Now, weight loss can be encouraged. Let's face it, some people won't do something unless there is some reward involve and, for some, looking and feeling healthy isn't enough. How about to start off, one could work out for Monday, Wednesday, Friday and enjoy the weekend. Probably even go out to McDonalds which can lead back into moderation and using it as a reward.
That's all I'm really going to type, but I just wanted some opinions on what you all thought and why cause I'm still thinking of this.
