As the title say and I'll prove it.

Lets start with the gender pay gap myth

video=youtube;G_sGn6PdmIo]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_sGn6PdmIo

video=youtube;vDb7jJO_yyo]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDb7jJO_yyo

women don't seek to make as much as men, because they already do. Women seek to make more.

Even if women did get paid less than men, Jim Jefferies justifies it here

So now that we've covered that lets move on to my second point

Then there is the oppressive yes means yes law just passed in California

if that doesn't scream superiority then you just won't get it.

then there is the need to hit but not be hit back

=youtube;9IkEmDEoSeQ]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IkEmDEoSeQ

Yesterday I saw the argument that feminists were seeking equality between men and women. Justify that statement using American Feminism. What can't American women not do that men can?

If they truly seek equality, then explain to me how we measure equality?

If they truly wanted equality then they would be called humanists or egalitarians(which is also dumb)

=youtube;26QxO49Ycx0]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26QxO49Ycx0

But by all means justify American feminism

[To watch the videos, obviously just copy and paste]

America doesn't need feminism, Eastern and African countries do.

It isn't even just American feminism, it's the whole 3rd wave. All of the western world.

They hide behind a dictionary definition all the while displaying cult behaviors.

Edit: For hardcore Feminists, they want to be unaccountable, and to be able to point the finger at any man and say "Jail." and it happens.

For the "coffee shop" feminists (casuals) it's called Pathological Altruism

I honestly can't speak intelligently about feminism in other countries in the western world, but i'd assume they are very similar

I can tell half of you don't even know what it means.

I wish someone with a modicum of intelligence could see the rampant stupidity i'm currently witnessing.

I can tell you're not using your brain to understand the type of feminism were talking about.
No need to be specific when almost everyone in here understands each other and you're the only who believes were all talking about it wrong.
If you're not going to participate in the discussion then please take your rustled jimmies out the thread.

Remove American and it would be correct.

Exactly.

OT: "Feminism" followed to the strict letter of the law is very egalitarian, but most feminists do not practice it that way, and are rabidly focused on their gender gaining superiority, rather than equality, whether they admit it or not. It also doesn't help that the extremists are the ones who bark loudest and thus garner the most attention.(same with all movement groups though) Leaving all that aside, feminism is clearly not needed in developed, Western countries such as the US to give but one example, where the differences between how men and women are treated is grossly exaggerated.

This was mostly directed at your dumbass anyway. By all means prove me wrong

The fact that I know American feminists, see American feminists and am an American feminist that don't think this way. You're taking a fraction of the population and saying the entire population is that way.

As for the law, how does that say women are seeking superiority? The law says that if someone doesn't explicitly make it clear they are giving consent to ***, then it is rape. The bill ensures that universities, which have been notorious in the past few years to handle rape cases poorly, do a better job. None of this is "women seeking superiority to men", it's all common sense.

Arguing about who gets to hit who is childish. If feminism is brought up and your first thought it is "So that means we get to hit women, right?" you need to take a step back and reevaluate yourself. There are many feminists who treat assault towards men by women the same way they do assault towards women by men, and that's that the assaulter should be held accountable and the victim has the right to retaliate with appropriate force.

You're asking for us to tell you what women can't do that men can, implying that you view that women and men can do the same things now in American society. If this is the case, then it's clear you haven't realized the reason women and men can do all of the same things in today's society IS feminism. Feminism may not be about establishing equality in America, but that only means feminism in American is needed to maintain that equality if it's there.

How does one measure equality? Feminism by definition seeks female superiority because you can't measure equality. Spare me the bullshit of "feminists fight for men too".

They continue to fight for equal pay even though it has been established that they get paid the same as men

the yes means yes law forces all the responsibility on men. Did you know in that law it states that if the girl has had any alcohol, she can't give consent? How the **** can males drink and make decisions, but women can't?

It's quite obvious that you can't measure equality, yet feminists keep pushing for "equality" which means superiority. Its in the definition " the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men". You've acknowledged that there is nothing left to fight for, yet feminists can't see equality and won't until they are clearly above men.

As for the hitting thing... you are arguing against self defense. I'd bet if you saw a woman get laid out in the street by a man defending himself, you would react in a way that's negative towards the male. But if you saw a woman ko a dude in self defense you'd applaud.

Keep on white knighting though dude. Self respect eludes you

It strikes me as odd how 'Meninist' arguments always involve linking to a sexist comedian....Y'know, the guys whose job is to purposely and comically exaggerate. I'm not getting involved in this bs joke of an argument but just a passing pattern.

This just shows your inability and inadequacy to be in this debate because of your immaturity. You're being told by an actual person who's an actual feminist that they fight for men too, and you're going "Nope, don't tell me that." You didn't make thread to have an active discussion and be open-minded to what the feminists have to say, you made this thread to dismiss what we have to say while reaching-around others who think like you to reinforce your own beliefs.

Yeah, you don't stop fighting for something once you get it. You fight to establish, then fight to maintain. It's like a house. You work hard to build the house, then you work hard to maintain the house and keep it in good condition. If you just ignore and neglect it completely because you've built it already, then its conditions worsens to the point where it falls apart. If no one cared about equal pay between men and women and just stopped talking about it, someone will eventually ignore paying men and women equally and the problem just comes back.

That doesn't just apply to rape. Alcohol inhibits your ability to function both physically and mentally. That's why it's advised not to drink at all when you drive, because even a little bit of alcohol can hinder your ability to drive safely. It's why pilots don't drink before doing a flight. Even a little bit of alcohol in their system can get the people in both of these scenarios in major trouble. What I'm trying to get across is that one is not in the same state of mind when they have consumed alcohol. The things one decides to say or do with alcohol in their system may not be the same thing they'll decide to say and do without it. And differs from person to person. Some people can handle their alcohol and be the same, and some people can't. Since the law can't vary with case to case as that would destroy the point of a law, it is played safe and they rule it as any alcohol.

"The yes means yes law forces all responsibility on me"

This is what the law says:
A policy that, in the evaluation of complaints in the disciplinary process, it shall not be a valid excuse that the accused believed that the complainant affirmatively consented to the sexual activity if the accused knew or reasonably should have known that the complainant was unable to consent to the sexual activity under any of the following circumstances:
(A) The complainant was asleep or unconscious.
(B) The complainant was incapacitated due to the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication, so that the complainant could not understand the fact, nature, or extent of the sexual activity.
(C) The complainant was unable to communicate due to a mental or physical condition.

Not only does it say incapacitated and not any alcohol, but no gender is specified. It does not say these are the conditions in which a woman is raped, it says these are the conditions of every single person. This applies to men raping women, women raping women, women raping men or men raping men. The fact that you hear "rape" and automatically link to the rapist and women to the victim just says more about you and the status of rape in the country you live in, which I'm assuming is America.

No, equality can't be measured, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. That simple means there is no limit or extent to equality. The fact that feminists say women and men should be considered equal means ANYTHING a feminist fights for for women automatically applies to men as well. Even if you see a feminist say "Women should have these rights", then it automatically means men have those rights as well. If they say otherwise, then they are not really feminists. Saying feminists are bad because of people like that who wrongfully apply the term to them is fallible. If I say "I am a fireman" without actually being a fireman, I'm just calling myself that, then I express I don't know how to operate a firetruck, does that mean firemen are now bad at operating the firetruck? No, it means I have no business calling myself a fireman, just like the people you're describing have no business calling themselves a feminist.

No, that's very presumptuous of you. I've said time and time again, both in real life and on here in threads that you could find, that I support everyone being able to resort to physical force against anyone who attacks you. I've argued against people who say a men should never hit a woman, and I've maintained that if I need to hit a woman in self-defense, I would without hesitation. Next time, find out the facts, don't assume.

I've given empirical evidence that suggests that what you are saying is bullshit. So stop telling me what you are doing and prove it like I have.

Feminists don't fight to "maintain" anything they have been pushing the same agenda for 30 years(the first two videos posted are feminists getting owned in the same debate 30 years apart yet spewing bullshit as if it's true) they want to be superior.

as for the law here is the entire text not just what little you've chose to include

We all know the nature of our society, trying to play ignorant won't work on me. Basically the law suggests in the first paragraph that anyone who has made a move on a girl(or guy but lets be real here) and hasn't asked them if it's all right the entire time is a rapist

"(1) An affirmative consent standard in the determination of whether consent was given by both parties to sexual activity. “Affirmative consent” means affirmative, conscious, and voluntary agreement to engage in sexual activity. It is the responsibility of each person involved in the sexual activity to ensure that he or she has the affirmative consent of the other or others to engage in the sexual activity. Lack of protest or resistance does not mean consent, nor does silence mean consent. Affirmative consent must be ongoing throughout a sexual activity and can be revoked at any time. The existence of a dating relationship between the persons involved, or the fact of past sexual relations between them, should never by itself be assumed to be an indicator of consent."

If two people get hammered drunk and have *** in California, the male is going to be considered a rapist.

as for that second to last paragraph of bullshit "justifying" feminism, let me point you in the direction of a word that really means equality

Egalitarian-"of, relating to, or believing in the principle that all people are equal and deserve equal rights and opportunities."

which is still bullshit, but at least not biased bullshit

Feminism in the very name suggests a priority on women, and an inability to measure when you've achieved equality(it isn't ever possible for people to be equal).

You provided proof that some people who call themselves feminists are like that. There is no proof that everyone who identifies as a feminist is like that because we all aren't.

Maybe there's a universe out there that this is correct in. Not this one yet. Once again, fraction of population.

as for the law here is the entire text not just what little you've chose to include

Yeah, none of this says men have the responsibility. Once again, no gender is specified and applies to both where both genders can be rapists and victims.

If two people get hammered drunk and have *** in California, the male is going to be considered a rapist.
If the woman accuses him of rape and it is found that he got her drunk to get consent, then yes. But the same applies for the woman if he accuses her of rape and the same is found of her.

Feminism in the very name suggests a priority on women, and an inability to measure when you've achieved equality(it isn't ever possible for people to be equal).

It's called feminism because it originated as a movement for the advancement of women to equal rights as men. Once that was established, the movement shifted to maintain that advancement and keeping men and women equal. In places where women don't have equal rights to men, such as places in the Middle East, it is still about advancement to equal rights.

Egaltarians are just feminists who threw a hissy fit about the name of the movement. You're part of the same group, the only difference is that one part thinks they're something different when they aren't. What the movement is about defines what the movement is about, not the name. I could make a movement called Riker's Big Gay Shitty Religion, and if I say it's about treating men and women equally and about equal rights between genders, then it's the same thing as feminism and egaltarianism but with a stupid name.
