And this is exactly what I meant. American arrogance is hilarious. You're not obliged to jump into conflict if it doesn't inherently involve you. Yes, if Canada or Mexico were to have problems that were militaristic, then America is obliged because of NATO, but please, don't pull that card. It doesn't apply here.

It always involves us. Not just America, but everyone. What's a country? That's just a label people affiliate themselves with to feel like they belong to something. And that sense of belonging is what breeds the desire to kill people whom we perceive as threats to our precious labels. Ultimately, it all comes back to fear of loneliness/uselessness/purposelessness.

This is actually something I agree with completely. But that's the way the world is, at least in this present time. It's divided based on country, ethnicity, habits etc. There's not much we can do about it at this moment. It's no secret that America does jump into certain "fights" (for lack of a better word) for a supposedly noble cause, but they come at a lot more negatively on a grander scale than the cause would suggest.

"Bashing is amusing to do." sure, if you like to hurt people, arrogance, and ignorance, thats what people who bash are full of. I hate it.

Each country is split by it's laws from others.

Everything involves us. We're the largest economy in the world. War in the Middle East? That's where we get our oil. Russia being a ****? We don't like Russia. We'll support ya from the shadows. We spend the most on our military so the rest of the world doesn't have to. In turn, you trade with us and benefit our economy. Win win for everyone. Cept communism. Death is a preferable alternative to communism

I don't think that's how they see it. The reason for it isn't necessarily to hurt other people, but to ensure one's own security. If we make fun of someone else, we are putting ourselves above them, and giving ourselves a sense of safety, a sense that there is someone below us. As long as there are people "below" us, we have some value.

My favorite is that all Americans are fat and lazy. It gives me a goal to live towards, because I'm not quite there yet.

Its still sad that they have to do it by bashing on something that someone or something cares for. Its just like what you said about killing families to keep yours safe, its hypocitical, "I'm just going to belittle this person to make myself feel better." the whole stigma of bashing, is foul to me.

Yeah and you're willing to kill other people for the people who "**** up" the country you love? What does that make you?

Kid, I don't think you know what you're talking about. I wouldn't be able to kill any politician if I wanted to without getting put in detainment and never seeing the light again.

I'm not fighting for cooperation's or politicians causes. I'm in the USMC for me, and me only.

Why? If no one ever steps back and thinks about it that way, how could you ever expect them to know? I want to say that it's almost evolutionary, the trend people have of observing/accepting and replicating behaviors that seem to work well without ever thinking about what one is really doing. I think that, unfortunately, in many cases, it is almost impossible to get people to think about things until they themselves hit 'rock bottom'. We just take too much for granted and accept too much at face value. :/

So you don't care about your country? You said you did earlier...

Not exactly the point. I will fight to defend my country if attacked, but I'm not in the military to achieve some idiots cause.

In the Military you get three types of people

1. Family were vets or are serving and you continue it because of patriotism

2. You join because of career opportunities (Mostly everyone in the military)

3. You're a lunatic and you want to kill someone in civi life.

Obviously I'm a patriot and I will fight for this country, but I am joining because it will help me career wise later down the road.

ISIS kills thousands of muslims, and America attempts to battle them, end result, muslims bashing America, cause "Oil."
America already has a terrible history in the middle east from fight vs the terrorists from 2001 against the wrong country, or trying to find "the weapons of mass destruction" that never existed, or torturing innocents, or drone strikes.

Americans engage in a war to protect jews, America = bad.
you are having to protect them because you took a huge chunk of land that belonged to someone else because it was said in a book that some fictional god gave the jews that land....

America relocates japanese in camps, because they're under suspicion and could possibly be one of the biggest threats to the country, America = bad.
how is that not bad????

America has a civil war over freeing slaves, America = bad.
NO that was not why they had the civil war, for an american you don't know much about America....the main reason for the war was to keep the union, they didn't want the US to be separated not saying slavery wasn't a reason. Also even after the civil war the federal government turned their backs on African-Americans after "The Compromise of 1877" and let laws like Jim Crow or Black Codes into effect not to mention the poll taxes and reading and understanding tests at the voting booth. Don't even get me started on how badly they treated the Native Americans

Why not imprison the Italians and German civs too only the Japanese

And America doesn't help countries that actually need aid in war

If it doesn't profit them

Sigh....your right America is a f*cked up country and everyone likes to blame politicians, media or celebrities yet they dont realize that we allow this shit to happen. I have always wanted some sort of change in our government where all the officials are taken out of office and disposed of accordingly. We need a new system.

This was uncalled for .-.

Our country isn't too bad from a citizens standpoint, some criticize us for being arrogant and what not which is surly true at times but I wouldn't say that best describes the country as a whole or even a majority.

If you mean politics and world involvement wise well, I tend not to stray too much into that stuff, however my personal philosophy is to stick to yourself unless its easy enough to help them. Our country feeds of the attention a little too much

Yes I know, however you were criticizing him for being in the army? He's putting his/her life on the line protecting the millions of people that are not "****ing" up the country that just want to live their lives not just the ones he mentioned? Pouncing at him/her just because those "****ing" it up happen to be within the range of those who that person saves by taking down others who wish to do innocents harm was arrogant and ignorant.
I don't care enough for patriotism to put my life on the line for it. But I certainly respect and salute those who have and are and don't really care for them being bashed.

I'm not pouncing at anyone. And I would never limit my scope to merely one country. I won't kill someone else for anybody. People shouldn't have to die for other people's causes.
