Does ameratsu one-hit any and all tailed beasts?

Let's say Itachi is just down below Kurama for some reason, and he uses ameratsu above him, does Kurama have any hope of living?

I believe the correct term is Amaterasu.

NO it does not. It is still a fire attack and depending on the timing can either eat them up (which I doubt the bijuu would allow) or they can try to dodge it somehow.

SO what i gathered from this was that Amateratsu* (thank you for that ) would devour Kurama's chakra.. then Kurama would come back. and it's a never ending loop. Thanks guys.

Tailed beasts can be reborn, so, they are technically immortal. But yes, Amatersu does one-shot tailed-beasts, if left alone. It burns for 7 days and 7 nights straight, and will eat through a tailed beasts chakra.

Its not instant so time to avoide it , tailed beast can dodge it (kyubi), depending on the user the persistance of ammy isn't necessarily persistant enough e.g. itachis one is inferior to sasukes. We have never seen ammy one hit someone before

amaterasu burns thru everything.chakra,water,even fire its self.going by feats,yes it would one shot kurama

They are immortal because they will just be re-born if they died.
