Amazing battle that never happened

I'm so bored right now, so I was re-watching old episodes of Naruto, when Sasuke fought that Sound ninjas with the Curse Mark and Neji was surprised by his power, so I've been thinking that Sasuke vs Neji, Uchiha vs Hyuga would've been epic battle, and it's really disturbing to know that it will never happen. I mean, currently, even if Neji was still alive, he has zero chance on defeating Sasuke, but even if the battle happened in Part 1, it would've been awesome, what do ya think?

I agree that he could've beat him, but Sasuke wasn't that bad when he fought Gaara, so...

Even base Rock Lee owned Sasuke in Part 1. Rock Lee felt/was inferior to Neji. Neji would've creamed him

Back in Part 1 Sasuke was a hot head thinking he could take on the world. Neji would have fodderized Sasuke in Part 1. Neji was calm and strategized. Plus he would have shut down Sasuke's chakra networks so fast that Sasuke's head would be spinning. The only thing Neji would have been at a disadvantage at was MAYBE some genjutsu, but I really don't remember if Sasuke knew any Genjutsu in Part 1.

Sasuke relied mostly on taijutsu back then because the CS was too uncontrollable. In a pure taijutsu fight, CS1 Sasuke VS Neji, Neji would win.
