We all know Minato is fast, but most underestimate his base speed, basing all of his speed feats on FTG.
Well, I disagree. Minato has been shown to defeat the jounin sent after Kushina which does suggest a certain speed. What attracted my attention was 3 scans in which Minato saves Naruto from Tobi.
For convenience, I took the liberty of ''measuring'' the segments Minato travels with a shunshin.
In the first scan, we see that the distance between Minato and Tobi is respectable, enough for Tobi to assume Minato isn't going to reach him. I'd rate it at around 10-20 meters. The room seems fairly large, after all.
In the second scan we see Tobi throw baby Naruto into the air, though the distance is fairly small.
Now, here is where physics intervene. I'm not experienced with physics, but I know some basics.
The speed at which a body is usually attracted by the earth is g = 9.8 meters per second. Weight usually increases this speed.
Now, Naruto was thrown at around 1 meter into the air.
We can see that not only did Minato travel this distance within the blink of an eye, Tobi did not have the time to stap Naruto ( don't ask me how he put the tags on, it boggles me how he didn't have time to stab Naruto but had the time to place tags ).
Now, Naruto was thrown at roughly 1 meter and was falling at 10 meters per second. Seeing as how he did not get hit by Tobi's kunai, that means that he didn't spend 0.1 seconds in the air.
That means that in 0.1 seconds, Minato traveled roughly 15-25 meters ( since he hit the wall, too ).
Assuming he went at 15 meters / 0.1 seconds, that means 150 meters / second or 540 kms / hour at the minimum, with 25 meters / 0.1 seconds, meaning 250 m/s or 900 kms / second at the max.
For a ninja in base form, that speed is rather impressive. If anyone has knowledge of how fast Naruto and Ay travel at in KCM/Raiton Shroud and can post it here I'd be grateful.
